MAX Welcomes New Staff

Prioritizing the health and wellness needs of GBT2Q guys into guys in 2020 has certainly brought new challenges. MAX Ottawa has been doing it’s best to adapt to help meet those needs. In addition to moving into a new office and searching for a new Executive Director, MAX is also welcoming our new staff to the team.

Please join us in giving them a warm welcome!

Charlie Daze

Charlie Dazé (they/them) is our 2020 Summer Worker. Charlie is a recent graduate of the Human Rights and Social Justice program at Carleton University. They have several years of experience working and volunteering within the LGBTQ+ community in Ottawa and Newfoundland. They enjoy reading, participating in community theatre, and continuing to learn new things. Charlie will be working mostly on our new Tablet Rental designed to help connect LGBTQ2IA+ seniors in the national capital region.

Mat Adams

Mat Adams (he/him) is our Harm Reduction Programs Coordinator. If he looks familiar, it’s because he was our Summer Community Outreach Worker from the 2019 Pride season. In his spare time, he likes to write, make art and clothing, and play video games. He’s excited to increase MAX’s capacity to help deliver harm reduction supplies to guys into guys.

Matthew Pecore

Spencer Pecore (he/him) is the Mental Health Program Coordinator. He cultivated extensive experience in front-line crisis support living in Alberta for several years, and is passionate about building personal and community capacity within 2SGBTQ+ guys. He’ll be leading the launch of our Coaching program for fall 2020 amongst overseeing our other mental health programs.
