Some free masks (overhead straps) will be available at the door.❤️ We monitor CO2 throughout the night and will announce if the monitors reach 1000.❤️ The new Grove space is much bigger than the last one\, with 2 small windows that open\, a central HVAC system\, and high ceilings. We will have at least 3 air purifiers running at max at all times.❤️ 18 Louisa St. does not have easy access to the outside\, so we ask you to enjoy beverages in the hall outside the main space. \n\n\n\nSliding scale tickets start at $5 – limited capacity for this event. \n\n\n\nNew Space Info:💫 18 Louisa\, unit 280\, is on the 2nd floor and is accessed by the elevator or stairs.💫 The exterior doors are automatic\, and the door to the studio is manual. If the exterior door is locked\, buzz 2800 to enter.💫 There are accessible washrooms on the same floor. The (gendered) washrooms are shared with the whole floor but after hours it’s unlikely anyone else will be on site.💫 The studio is over 800 square feet of open space with an 11 ft ceiling and 2 small windows that open.

DESCRIPTION:Solstice Chill – Listening party & games night! We’re back with our pals at the Grove to bring you something a bit more laid-back as we move into winter. Expect low decibel Afrohouse/beats\, funk & RnB. We’ll provide some games – feel free to bring your own!We’re excited to have Kaytlyn Nadjiwon (@softbutsturdy) with us to bring in the solstice! While Kaytlyn is not a self-described tarot reader or expert\, she’s long worked with tarot and oracle decks\, energy\, and channelling in her personal practice. She was inspired by the Anchored deck for healing by Margeaux Feldman of @softcore_trauma to open that energy work to the community more broadly. She’s generously offered to share space with us on the solstice so we can think about our intentions for the winter months. Readings are by donation to Indigenous youth organization\, @assembly7generations (cash\, e-transfer suggested donation is sliding scale\, $5 – 25). Readings are on a first come basis and there will be a sign-up sheet when you arrive. Accepting donations for A7G without readings as well!Bar with non-alcoholic drinks including beer\, cocktails\, seltzers and more\, please enjoy outside.This is a covid-safer event! Sliding scale – $5-20 (cash only at the door) \n\n\n\nAccessibility Notes from The Grove \n\n\n\nWe have a ramped entrance (33.5 in wide) and a ramp for the backdoor entrances. \n\n\n\nOur space total sq is 800 sq/ft but the main studio portion is 350 sq/ft. That fits about 40 folks standing and 25 seated. \n\n\n\nWe have two bathrooms with door measurements 26 and 28 inches wide. \n\n\n\nFor seating\, we have several options – White folding chairs (max 225lbs /102 kg static) Blue stacking chairs ( max 660lbs / 299.3 kg static) Brown couch (max 700lbs/317.5 kg static) Rustic brown stools (max 264.5lbs/ 120 kg static)
