SUMMARY:Queer Death Salon
DESCRIPTION:Queer Death Salon is a community space for all 2SLGBTQIA+ people to come together to discuss death\, dying and grief. It is a facilitated drop-in discussion space on zoom\, with the purpose of building connection\, skill\, and resources for 2SLGBTQIA+ people navigating end of life in our personal lives and in our communities. \n\n\n\nIn April\, our discussion topic is Loss by Suicide. \n\n\n\nLoss by suicide can kick up a plethora of feelings in addition to the grief one would normally experience with the death of a loved one. It’s not uncommon to feel anger\, guilt\, confusion\, or feelings of rejection (among many other possibilities). This session is for 2SLGBTQIA+ people who have lost people to suicide and are looking to share space with people who have lived through similar circumstances.   \n\n\n\nQuestions to consider \n\n\n\n\nWho have you lost and what was your relationship to each other? \n\n\n\nHow does this kind of grief differ from other griefs you have experienced? \n\n\n\nWhat were your feelings towards them at their death? How has that changed over time? \n\n\n\nWhat do you wish was better understood about your experience? \n\n\n\n\nParticipants are invited to bring questions of their own\, a special item to show\, or share a story of an important moment.
