DESCRIPTION:As part of the Back to our Roots Project\, we’re launching a series of events throughout the year to address the unique challenges facing Black 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. \n\n\n\nIn recognition of Black History Month\, we’re taking time to reflect on and honour the histories of Black communities with the Lateral Violence Webinar\, taking place on February 26 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM EST. \n\n\n\nThis session will examine the roots of lateral violence and how it manifests in our communities. We’ll discuss the historical context of queer/transphobia in Black communities\, the global impact of anti-Black racism\, and the ways these issues intersect today. \n\n\n\nThis webinar is just the beginning. B2R events will continue throughout the year\, each focusing on the specific needs of Black 2SLGBTQIA+ people across different areas. Join us now for this crucial conversation!
