These shorts honor the importance of community and creating spaces where we can be our authentic selves. \n\n\n\nProgramming: \n\n\n\n\nRealness with a Twist: A talented footballer suppresses his secret passion for voguing for fear of his teammates’ disapproval.\n\n\n\nMnM: An exuberant portrait of chosen sisters Mermaid and Milan\, two emerging runway divas in the drag ballroom community.\n\n\n\nThe House of LaBeija: A poetic documentary that pays homage to the first ballroom house\, the House of LaBeija\, through a series of letters from its members.\n\n\n\nHaus: A displaced black queer boy finds refuge in his city’s underground Kiki Ballroom scene.\n\n\n\nUnless We Dance: In Quibdó\, a city with the highest homicide rates in Colombia\, Jonathan and hundreds of young people come together through dance to face the brutal fate of violence.\n\n\n\nThe Tweetations Revue: A charismatic cast of songbirds take flight on a musical journey through a vibrant variety show\, creating a fantastical celebration of cultural heritage and artistic brilliance.\n\n\n\n\nFollowing the screening\, we’ll have a panel discussion with prominent figures in the Canadian ballroom scene.
