Laylit has established its place on the scene with a signature electronic sound blending shaabi\, dabke\, mahraganat\, Arabic pop and hip-hop with contemporary\, boundary pushing dance music (techno\, breakbeat\, hyperpop…) inspired by New York and Montreal’s thriving underground clubs. Featured in multiple publications including the New York Times and Pitchfork\, Laylit recently celebrated its 5-year anniversary with a Boiler Room event in NYC and a tour across multiple North American cities. DESCRIPTION:Run 5 \, 7\, or 9 km with the Frontrunners and have breakfast afterwards at Cooper’s Gastropub. \n\n\n\nOttawa Frontrunners (OFR) is a running and walking club for members of the Two-Spirit\, Lesbian\, Gay\, Bisexual\, Transgender\, and Queer (2SLGBTQ) community and friends. Located in Ottawa\, it is Canada’s national capital chapter of International Frontrunners. We have runners of various ages and skill levels and typically have groups going between 5 and 9 km (3 and 5.59 miles) at various paces. Walkers are also members of the club\, consisting usually of runners on the injury list and partners or friends of runners.

DESCRIPTION:The Writers’ Salon: Works in Progress invites writers to bring their works in progress to share and commiserate over. Each participant will have a chance to read a sample of their writing. This is not a place to have your work critiqued or to receive specific feedback\, rather to explore what it means to have\, and be\, a work in progress as a writer. This event is open to writers above the age of 18. \n\n\n\nMeeting monthly\, The Writers’ Salon offers a space for writers to connect\, share and build community. The Writers’ Salon is open to writers of all backgrounds\, genres and experience levels and is hosted by Meg\, a neuroqueer writer\, artist and creative care practitioner. \n\n\n\nThe Writers’ Salon is hosted at The Grove. Masks (K95 or higher) are required to attend\, and will be provided for folks who are unable to bring their own.
