DESCRIPTION:We invite you to join Ottawa Frontrunners for a Trans-inclusive\, family-friendly Women’s 5 km walk or run. All levels are welcome! (*This event is open to all who identify as women\, female-identifying\, non-binary\, and Two-Spirit individuals.) \n\n\n\nThe Friday night activity will be led by the Women’s Co-chair or member of Ottawa Frontrunners\, and is in addition to the Tuesday night (6:30 pm) and Saturday morning (9:00 am (spring\, summer\, fall); 9:30 am from the first Saturday of December to the last Saturday of March inclusive) regularly scheduled times with the club. \n\n\n\nWe will be meeting at Ottawa City Hall\, Lisgar Street entrance\, at 5:10 pm and departing from there at 5:15 pm. \n\n\n\nFor details send an email to wmns@ottawafrontrunners.org.

SUMMARY:Queer Lifting Club
DESCRIPTION:Join us every week to lift weights with queer people!! All ages\, levels of experience\, and forms of exercise are welcome 💪 Drop-in at any time and stay for however long you’d like! Our meetups are free and there’s no registration required. Just come hangout!! \n\n\n\nWe’ll provide snacks\, water\, masks\, and weight lifting equipment! See the link in our bio for a full list of our equipment. \n\n\n\nOur meetups are not instructional\, but we’re happy to provide guidance and check your form. \n\n\n\nWAIVERS:Everyone is required to sign a waiver for liability reasons due to the heavy weight lifting equipment involved. The waiver can be viewed ahead of time through the link in our bio. We’ll have blank waivers available to be signed as people arrive. No deadnames on the waiver please! \n\n\n\nIf you’re under 18\, please make sure a legal guardian can sign the waiver. There’s no mention of “queer” on the under 18 waiver. \n\n\n\nENTRANCES:The church’s back entrance will be unlocked. If you need the door opened for you\, ring the doorbell. See the link in our bio for instructions about the wheelchair accessible front entrance (facing Sparks St.). There will be instructions posted on the door at both entrances. \n\n\n\nMASKS:Masks are strongly encouraged. We provide kn94 masks. \n\n\n\nQUIET AREA:There is a quiet area with seating and low-lighting in the church itself. There is also a park across the street where you can take a break if needed. \n\n\n\nRESTROOMS:The church has two private\, gender neutral restrooms. One is wheelchair accessible. We always have pads and tampons available in the restrooms for anyone who needs them. Feel free to take them 🙂 \n\n\n\nTRANSPORTATION:There are spots for free parking in the church’s driveway beside the parking lot. There’s also paid parking in the parking lot and street parking on nearby streets. The church is close to Lyon Station by train/bus. Bikes can be locked on the railings outside or kept inside the church hall.

DESCRIPTION:We are proud to present our monthly jazz show\, Fever Pitch! Travel back in our 1920s speakeasy joint for the hottest of jazz that blends the spirit of ragtime\, the magic of the blues\, and energy of brass band marches played by a quartet of local musicians! Doors at 8pm. Music starts 9pm. \n\n\n\nPlease note that if advance tickets sell out\, then the event is at capacity. \n\n\n\nOnline tickets do guarantee a seat. While the music can be heard/experienced clearly in every room of the house\, we recommend coming early if you wish to snag a spot where you can see the band. \n\n\n\nREFUND POLICY: refunds can only be issued to those who bought tickets online.
