SUMMARY:Now What?: Getting Ready for Dragon Boating
DESCRIPTION:Whether you’re brand new or returning to the water\, this session is all about preparing mind and body for dragon boat season. We will learn about the fundamentals of the sport\, what to expect as a team member\, and what to expect before training begins. \n\n\n\nWe’ll cover readiness tips\, team dynamics\, wellness strategies\, and what participation can look like for different experience levels. This is also a space to connect with others who are curious about paddling and community sport as a pathway to wellness and belonging. \n\n\n\nCome get inspired\, get informed\, and get ready to move together. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNotes on Accessibility \n\n\n\n\nOur building has three elevators\, and our office is fully wheelchair accessible. Different seating options are available throughout the evening. There is a gender neutral and wheelchair accessible washroom just outside of our office. Please let us know in advance if you require any additional accommodations.\n\n\n\nOur office is right around the corner from bus stops for the 6\, 7\, and 11. We’re about a 5-minute walk from the nearest stop for the 14\, and a 10-minute walk from Parliament Station (Line 1 of the O-train). There are also several paid parking lots and garages within walking distance. If transit is a barrier for you to attend a session\, let us know and we’ll help you out!\n\n\n\nIf you get here after 6:30 pm\, the doors and elevator will be locked. DESCRIPTION:Queer Dodgeball is all about having fun. A low-commitment activity to do with friends – you might even make new friends too! \n\n\n\nHaven’t played dodgeball since elementary school? Don’t worry\, neither have we. The rules of the game are explained before every session. Headshots are not allowed. \n\n\n\nYou need: A pair of indoor shoes! You will not be granted access into the gym without this. \n\n\n\nHow to sign up?\n\n\n\nSign up for the full season or for individual games through the link below. For drop-ins\, select the date you’d like to sign up for and follow the prompts.  \n\n\n\nYou will receive a confirmation email upon payments. You only need to fill out the waiver and health questionnaire once per season.
