As Elders in the queer community\, our stories are important to be shared\, to be heard\, and to be remembered. – Mary Ellen MacLean \n\n\n\nThis workshop\, for 2SLGBTQIA+ community members aged 50+\, offers an opportunity to gather\, deepen your community connections\, and create stories with the support of each other and Mary Ellen’s guidance. The focus is on having fun\, learning some new skills\, and connecting with each other. \n\n\n\nThis event is open to folks who have never written or told a story out loud before\, as well as those who have. If you have attended one of Mary Ellen’s workshops before\, you are welcome to come back and develop your storytelling skills further. Our ultimate goal is to move the group towards a closed community accountability space where we can practice robust transformative justice as we heal and grow in our masculinities together. \n\n\n\nTGC is open to any Black\, Indigenous\, and/or person of color (BIPOC) who identifies as transmasculine or masculine-of-center\, regardless of gender identity. \n\n\n\nWe ask that white-passing BIPOC reflect on their privilege and the way they are racialized.
