SUMMARY:Transform Gender Collective (TGC) Monthly Meetings
DESCRIPTION:Transform Gender Collective (TGC) is a support and discussion group for transmasculine and masculine-of-center Black\, indigenous\, and people of color (BIPOC) to learn about transformative justice\, unlearn toxic gendered behaviors\, and imagine what masculinity could look like outside of the gender binary. \n\n\n\nDuring our virtual meetings\, we will dive deep into the framework of transformative justice (TJ) and how we can apply it to our everyday lives\, create a community of support for one another\, and share our personal stories of coming into our genders. Our ultimate goal is to move the group towards a closed community accountability space where we can practice robust transformative justice as we heal and grow in our masculinities together. \n\n\n\nTGC is open to any Black\, Indigenous\, and/or person of color (BIPOC) who identifies as transmasculine or masculine-of-center\, regardless of gender identity. \n\n\n\nWe ask that white-passing BIPOC reflect on their privilege and the way they are racialized. At TGC\, we discuss our gendered experiences as people that are racialized as Black or brown in the world. Please choose whether to attend our meetings based on these reflections. \n\n\n\nOur virtual monthly meetings are held over Zoom and take place on the last Wednesday of each month from 6:30-8PM EST. SUMMARY:Talking Heads
DESCRIPTION:Where do we go after we die? \n\n\n\nWelcome to Talking Heads\, a talk show about death\, witches\, grief\, and ghosts. Hosted by Maggie May Harder\, award-winning comedian\, orphan\, dyke. \n\n\n\nKatie was hit head-on by an impaired driver going over 100km. In an accident that should have killed her\, she walked away with only a sprained wrist\, broken foot\, and a mysterious photo capturing ribbons of light at the exact time of the collision. \n\n\n\nBJ was on life support for three weeks with Guillenne Barre Syndrome. After being neurologically paralyzed\, he relearned to walk and talk\, and in his new lease on life\, threw himself into drag. \n\n\n\nLa Catrina is here. Galattticaaa\, adorned in flowers and painted in bones as death herself\, shares stories of dìa de muertos and loved ones that have received signals during this powerful time of honouring the dead. \n\n\n\nA shadow figure appears next to the TV\, suddenly gone to white noise. An ominous presence in the ensuite bathroom brings about bad luck. Alone in bed\, except for the spirit that’s creaking the bed frame. Sally has been a conduit for ghosts\, benevolent and otherwise\, for years. \n\n\n\nA death doula. A published author in Magdaragat\, the very first anthology of Filipino-Canadian writing. Haunted Walk Tour Guid and creator of the Pop Culture Death Altar. Felix is here to tell us about family\, through the lens of every funeral he’s ever attended. \n\n\n\nCome to giggle\, to get scared\, to make space for grief and release it.  \n\n\n\nThis show is for anyone who’s curious about what lives on after we do\, and what lives among us while we’re here.
