SUMMARY:Casper Skulls at LIVE! on Elgin with Scrip Issue & Nick Bendzsa
DESCRIPTION:Casper Skulls have successfully grown into their own on their newest album Kit-Cat (Next Door Records\, April 11\, 2025)\, taking a refreshingly patient and collaborative approach to songwriting that ultimately left the Sudbury/Toronto\, Ontario band creating the best album of their career. \n\n\n\nScrip Issue are fans of post-punk\, no wave\, and noise rock\, creating new ideas to combine with those sounds. \n\n\n\nDark\, sensitive\, direct\, spiritual and tender; Bendzsa blends trap\, acoustic folk\, ambient\, and indie to texture and paint an exaggerated world of genuine experience and fantasy.

We will then ride to Vincent Massey Park\, chill for a bit there and then return back to Bayview as a group. Your ride home could be dark so please bring your charged bike lights (try the dollar store or bike shop). \n\n\n\nBring a chair\, or a blanket to sit on if you wish. \n\n\n\nAccessibility: \n\n\n\nThis route (13.6km Total) will be on bike paths \n\n\n\nWe will be crossing the canal at Hartwell Locks. There are two steps up to get onto the lock\, a narrow walkway with railings on both sides\, then two steps down. (Ride leaders can help lifting/moving bikes if needed\, just ask us!) \n\n\n\nThe ride will start and end at Bayview with a break at Vincent Massey Park \n\n\n\nAs always this is a no drop ride at a chill pace\, so no one gets left behind! Charge up those lights! \n\n\n\nHope to see you there!! 💖💖🌈🚲

SUMMARY:Transformations Ottawa: Exploring LGBTQ2S+ Stories (in-person)
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an unforgettable evening of personal storytelling that celebrates the power of change\, identity\, and community. Transformations Ottawa brings together local LGBTQ2S+ storytellers to share pivotal moments of transformation in their lives—stories of becoming\, belonging\, and bold self-discovery. \n\n\n\nHosted by the incomparable Jeffrey Canton (he/him)\, this event promises heart\, humour\, and insight. Over the past three decades\, Jeffrey has captivated audiences with original stories rooted in Toronto’s layered histories\, his Jewish heritage\, and his deeply personal queerstory—interwoven with gay show tunes and a touch of soft-shoe. A founding member of Queers in Your Ears\, Jeffrey has shared his work across Canada and internationally\, from Harbourfront Centre to Arirang Nights of Storytelling in Korea. He is a passionate storytelling coach\, a celebrated teacher of “Transformations” with Storytelling Toronto\, and the 2018 recipient of the Alice Kane Award. \n\n\n\nWhether you’re a member of the LGBTQ2S+ community or an ally\, Transformations Ottawa offers a space to listen\, connect\, and reflect on the stories that shape us.
