DESCRIPTION:Shift Film Festival is an intimate\, intentional film experience created by Labia Cinematica to spotlight bold\, tender\, and radical stories by women and gender non-conforming filmmakers\, with a strong focus on Black and queer voices. \n\n\n\nThis first edition is designed as more than just a screening. It’s a space to gather\, feel\, and connect through cinema that explores identity\, pleasure\, intimacy\, resistance\, and healing. The films selected for Shift challenge dominant narratives and invite us to shift the gaze\, toward stories rooted in care\, complexity\, and truth. \n\n\n\nThroughout the evening\, audiences will experience a curated program of short films\, documentaries\, series and feature films\, followed by filmmaker Q&As and panels. Come prepared for sex and gore! 🩸💋 \n\n\n\nMasked event. 😷 \n\n\n\nMovie at 8pm.  \n\n\n\nACCESS INFO FROM A5:\n\n\n\nThere is a 2 step stoop at the front entrance\, but our back entrance is at street level with only a 1.5 inch lip to get into the space. The main bathroom is in the basement which is 10 steps down. We do however have a small secondary washroom in our kitchen space across the driveway that can be accessed by key. This has a 4 inch lip at the entrance and is not necessarily comfortably wheelchair accessible  in terms of space but may be useful for individuals who have other mobility issues that prevent them from using the stairs.

SUMMARY:CABARET – a Singalong & Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:Join Tone Cluster at the film classic “Cabaret”\,  a singalong and fundraiser for the choir. \n\n\n\nThis 1972 film musical won 8 Academy awards and stars Liza Minnelli as Sally Bowles and Joel Grey as the emcee both in iconic performances.   \n\n\n\nDress up as your favourite major character and participate in our costume contest. There will be a prize for best costume! \n\n\n\nYou can use your smart phone to view the lyrics or use printed lyrics sheets to join the singalong.   \n\n\n\nAccessibility Information: \n\n\n\nThe ByTowne auditorium and washrooms are fully accessible and there will be reserved accessible spots in the theatre.
