DESCRIPTION:Join MAX\, the AIDS Committee of Ottawa\, and Capital Rainbow Refuge in curating an art collection for National HIV Testing Day.  \n\n\n\nOn Tuesday\, June 16\, we’re meeting at the AIDS Committee of Ottawa for an evening of crafting and community. Join us to design your own unique face mask\, expressing what HIV testing means to you. As an art medium\, masking has long represented anonymity\, protection\, and choice. For this upcoming Queerspora session\, we’re using masks to represent our lived experiences.  \n\n\n\nOn National HIV Testing Day (June 27)\, the art will be showcased in the ByWard Market to support public education and stigma reduction efforts.  \n\n\n\nAll materials provided.  \n\n\n\nQueerspora is MAX Ottawa’s monthly social group for queer newcomers.  \n\n\n\nRSVP through the form below to let us know you’re coming!

SUMMARY:Tarot for Grief and Crisis
DESCRIPTION:Queer Death Salon is a community space for all 2SLGBTQIA+ people to come together to discuss death\, dying and grief. It is a facilitated drop-in discussion space\, with the purpose of building connection\, skill\, and resources for 2SLGBTQIA+ people navigating end of life in our personal lives and in our communities \n\n\n\nParticipants will be led through Jungian\, Hermetic\, and Rider-Waite tarot traditions and what it means to read in different modalities\, especially in times of grief or crisis. \n\n\n\nE (she/her/they/them)\, is a largely self-taught tarot reader of about 17 years. They primarily approach their reads from a Jungian or Archetypal standpoint\, inviting people to explore the cards from a deeper psychological standpoint. She has also branched into other forms of cartomancy (lenormand\, playing cards) and is a budding astrologer.
