She will be joined by local multi-genre angel Yolande Laroche\, both offering up a hybrid performance of live and DJ’d material. \n\n\n\nExperience the show from inside the pool through underwater speakers\, in the sauna\, or poolside under the sun roof. \n\n\n\nWhat to bring: \n\n\n\nBathing suit\, Towel\, Robe\, Flip flops or slides for pool deck / showers\, Lock for changing room lockers\, Non-glass water bottle \n\n\n\nAbout the space: \n\n\n\nThere are two change rooms: one for women and gender nonconforming folks and one for men and gender nonconforming folks. No gender policing will be tolerated – please use the change room you are most comfortable with\, and respect others’ right to choose. \n\n\n\nChange rooms have 2 private stalls with toilets\, and open showers with multiple shower heads. \n\n\n\nLockers are available in change rooms for personal belongings. \n\n\n\nNo food or drink permitted in the change rooms. Water bottles (no glass please) are permitted on the pool deck and mezzanine. \n\n\n\nThere is a dry sauna on the pool deck. Capacity is limited to 10 people at a time. \n\n\n\nSeating available on pool deck. \n\n\n\nParking – Free parking in lot behind building. Building on last year’s concert of protest songs\, this year’s program continues the call to action by challenging the expectations that hold us back while embracing the change needed to move forward. Urgent\, hopeful\, and powerful\, RISE blurs the line between stage and seats as we raise our voices together.  \n\n\n\nThe concert will be approx. 75 mins with an intermission.  \n\n\n\nThe venue is First Unitarian\, which is a wheelchair accessible space and has gender neutral single stall washrooms in addition to multiple stall gendered washrooms. Seating is cushioned wooden pews. The space is secular in nature.  \n\n\n\nFree parking is available on site and there are nearby bus stops. DESCRIPTION:The Lovers’ Demise album release party is a journey through the mind of a lover who seeks true connections. Combining genres like rnb\, soul and jazz\, Ébby is inviting real lovers to an immersive experience in which listeners are encouraged to be vulnerable and wear their hearts on their sleeve. Performances are brought to you by Ébby and Whitney Mambou. \n\n\n\nBIO\n\n\n\nÉbby is a Cameroonian multidisciplinary artist\, specializing in RnB\, soul and jazz. After completing the 2024 Produced by Youth advanced program\, they have been featured in two Pieces of Us seasons\, on Luscious Creatures as a new artist and performed at QYAC Rainbow Riffs showcase.   Now\, they are working on their debut album “Lover’s Demise”\, centring a queer love tale out on Valentine’s Day. With an insistence on being heard\, Ébby is determined to leave a lasting impact on the world.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTICKETS\n\n\n\n$15 online / $20 at the door (if the event has not yet sold out online) \n\n\n\nYour ticket guarantees you a seat in the house but not necessarily a seat with a direct line of sight to the performers. We recommend coming early to snag a spot or if you need accommodations\, like a guaranteed seat for accessibility reasons\, to please email us at events@thearthousecafe.ca at least 72 hours before the event. \n\n\n\nTicket refunds or date transfers are not available. \n\n\n\nIMPORTANT ACCESSIBILITY INFO\n\n\n\nWe provide gender-neutral washrooms. We have one wheelchair accessible washroom. There is no wheelchair ramp. There is a set of 8 stairs to get into the building (7 steps\, small landing\, and then an 8th step). Once inside\, the whole cafe floor is flat\, with the exception of our small room to the side\, which is a small step down. \n\n\n\nWe are licensed to provide alcohol\, but serve a variety of non-alcoholic options. \n\n\n\nThis event takes place on the traditional unceded\, unsurrendered territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin People.
