DESCRIPTION:We’re hosting our final pop-up vaccine clinic of the summer. This Saturday\, come by the MAX office during the Street Festival for your first or second dose of the mpox vaccine. Please review the eligibility criteria below from Ottawa Public Health in advance.  \n\n\n\nWalk-ins welcome\, or skip the line by booking an appointment. \n\n\n\n\n\nWho can receive the Imvamune® vaccine for protection before an exposure to the mpox virus? \n\n\n\nAnyone who received one dose of the Imvamune® mpox vaccine can now receive a second dose at least 28 days after receiving their first dose. This includes individuals who received the vaccine for protection before or after an exposure to the mpox virus.  \n\n\n\nBased on the Ontario Ministry of Health guidelines\, the following groups are eligible for a 2-dose series of the Imvamune® vaccine for protection. \n\n\n\na) Two-spirited\, non-binary\, transgender\, cisgender\, intersex\, or gender-queer individuals who self-identify or have sexual partners who self-identify as belonging to the gay\, bisexual\, pansexual and other men who have sex with men (gbMSM)community AND at least one of the following: \n\n\n\n\nHad a confirmed sexually transmitted infection within the last year.\n\n\n\nHave or are planning to have two or more sexual partners or are in a relationship where at least one of the partners may have other sexual partners.\n\n\n\nHave attended venues for sexual contact (i.e.\, bath houses\, sex clubs) recently or may be planning to\, or who work/volunteer in these settings.\n\n\n\nHave had anonymous sex (e.g.\, using hookup apps) recently or may be planning to.\n\n\n\nAre a sexual contact of an individual who engages in sex work.\n\n\n\n\nb) Individuals who self-identify as engaging in sex work or are planning to\, regardless of self-identified sex or gender. \n\n\n\nc) Household and/or sexual contacts of those identified for pre-exposure vaccination eligibility in parts (a) and/or (b) above AND who are moderately to severely immunocompromised or pregnant may be considered for pre-exposure vaccination. These individuals may be at higher risk for severe illness from a mpox infection and should contact their healthcare provider or Ottawa Public Health at 613-580-6744 for more information.

He joined the House of Pinklady in 2019\, rose to Father in 2023\, and earned his Legendary title in 2024. Known for dramatic performance\, stunts\, and his evolution from Schoolboy to Everyday Realness\, Cassidy is Realness with a Twist. A leader\, mover\, and mentor\, he emphasizes stretching\, breathing\, and staying humble while doing his part for the community. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLegendary Godmother Moohk Louboutin Miyake Mugler \n\n\n\nLegendary Godmother Moohk Louboutin Miyake Mugler\, Montreal’s Bizarre Queen\, has been active in the ballroom scene since 2017. A force in Canadian Ballroom for over 13 years\, Tamar is one of only two recognized mainstream Legends in the country\, internationally celebrated for her precision\, presence\, and enduring excellence in the Realness category. \n\n\n\nAs the Legendary Canadian Mother of the International Iconic House of Miyake-Mugler\, Tamar has raised the standard of excellence within Canadian Ballroom\, helping shape a new generation of top-tier talent. Her leadership is rooted in a sharp eye for detail\, old-school Ballroom fundamentals\, and a deep commitment to legacy. \n\n\n\nTamar is the revered Matriarch of the Carter family\, known for being a “stern set” who leads with integrity\, accountability\, and unwavering love. Her influence pushes her children to realize their full potential\, not only in Ballroom\, but in their everyday lives. \n\n\n\nTamar is also the co-founder of FUNCTION\, a groundbreaking Ballroom-first platform for culture\, stories\, and events. So we invite you to join us and some local experts to spill the beans\, and chat about health. \n\n\n\nMental Health Hygiene  \n\n\n\nWe brush our teeth\, we shower\, and we comb our hair. Those are the little things we do to take care of our bodies\, but what are we doing to take care of our minds? Mental Health can be a big challenge sometimes. But sometimes it’s also about all the little things we do to stay well.
