SUMMARY:Bike Scavenger Hunt
DESCRIPTION:Hey folks! Come on out and join us for our first ever bike scavenger hunt! And bring your friends! This event is ally friendly and kid friendly (as long as kids under 18 are supervised by an adult). We will meet at the Naval Reserve Monument at Dow’s Lake at 6pm. \n\n\n\n❓What will this event look like? Teams (Minimum of 3 people\, maximum of 7) will be given a series of clues and challenges to do within a 1.5 hour time frame. Each team to finish and get to the mystery end point gets entered to win a prize! \n\n\n\n❓What if I don’t have a team? Show up a few minutes early\, organizers will try and help you join another team! \n\n\n\n❓Is this an intense scavenger hunt? No! It is meant to be a challenge but is meant to be fun\, and maybe a little competitive. 1.5 hours maximum to complete. Those who complete all the clues get entered into a draw to win a prize for their team. \n\n\n\nAs with all QBC events\, you must fill out a waiver to participate (link in instagram bio).

DESCRIPTION:Homo Phono Beats & Boards! \n\n\n\nWe’re back with our pals at @thegrove613 to bring you something a bit more laid-back. DJ del Pilar will be spinning low decibel Afrohouse/beats\, funk & RnB. We’ll provide some games – feel free to bring your own! \n\n\n\nTickets \n\n\n\nTickets are by donation with the following suggestions when deciding on how much to pay. \n\n\n\nRegular price to cover costs = $20 \n\n\n\nPlease pay less if you need to\, including the option to pay $0. \n\n\n\nCommunity Support Tickets: If you can support this event and community members who need to pay less than $20\, please do! People who might be able to pay more would have a regular income that covers you and your families basic needs (housing\, food\, healthcare\, transit\, clothes). You may also have extra money to eat out and go on vacation. You might have inherited or recieved other family money and/or you make passive income through investments. \n\n\n\nBar with non-alcoholic drinks inc beer\, cocktails\, seltzers and more. \n\n\n\nAccessing the space: If the outside doors are locked\, buzz 2800 to get in. Check the QR code below to see a video on getting to the space! \n\n\n\nThis is a covid-safer event!N95 or equivalent are required. Some masks will be available for free at the door. \n\n\n\nThere is a CO2 monitor set up and accessible to check throughout the event. Our last games night didn’t go above 825. \n\n\n\nThe new Grove space is much bigger than the last one with 2 small windows that open\, a central HVAC system\, and high ceilings. \n\n\n\nWe will have at least 3 air purifiers running at max at all times. \n\n\n\n18 Louisa does not have easy access to outside so we ask that you enjoy your drinks in the hall outside the main space. \n\n\n\nNotes About The Grove \n\n\n\n280-18 Louisa is on the 2nd floor of the building with elevator access. There are automatic doors on the outside of the building but the door to the studio is manual. \n\n\n\nThere are accessible washrooms on the 2nd floor. The (gendered) washrooms are shared with the whole floor but after hours it’s unlikely anyone else will be on site. \n\n\n\nThe studio is over 800 square feet of open space with an 11 ft ceiling \n\n\n\nFor seating\, we have several options – White folding chairs (max 225lbs /102 kg static) Blue stacking chairs ( max 660lbs / 299.3 kg static) Brown couch (max 700lbs/317.5 kg static) Rustic brown stools (max 264.5lbs/ 120 kg static)

DESCRIPTION:The dead can leave behind so much stuff\, from a few sentimental items\, to entire homes stuffed to the brim. What to do with it can be complex and filled with conflicting emotions. This is a space to explore our relationships with the physical objects left behind by the dead\, what to keep\, what to pass on\, what we are having hard feelings about\, and what we celebrate.  \n\n\n\nQueer Death Salon is a community space for all 2SLGBTQIA+ people to come together to discuss death\, dying and grief. It is a facilitated drop-in discussion space\, with the purpose of building connection\, skill\, and resources for 2SLGBTQIA+ people navigating end of life in our personal lives and in our communities.  \n\n\n\nQueer Death Salon takes place over Zoom\, in English\, with Automatic Closed Captioning.
