DESCRIPTION:Get your geek on! Come check out the Ottawa chapter of Geeky & Kinky\, hosted by @josdine and Vylet the 2nd Wednesday of each month. \n\n\n\nOur goal is to bring you approachable social events that help geeky folks meet each other and provide a friendly\, warm setting for people to get to know the community. Feel free to bring a board game you’d like to share with others. \n\n\n\nMembership not required. This is a drop in event\, we accept donations to fuel our intergalactic cause\, but there are no tickets or minimum cost. \n\n\n\nWe have a range of board games spread out for you to select from. Tea\, coffee\, and pop are always available\, as are a variety of snacks. Attendees are always welcome to bring a treat to share or a game they’re comfortable teaching others to play. We’d love to get a glimpse at what you have on your game shelf! \n\n\n\nThe dress code is casual. You might see a collar or two\, but feel free to come as you are. This event is not intended for play or finding a date. It’s an opportunity to make new friends and catch up with old ones. \n\n\n\nIf you’re worried about attending an event without knowing anyone\, send us a message with “Geeky & Kinky” in the subject line. We can let you know what to expect and introduce you when you arrive. \n\n\n\nAt this event\, play (except the board game kind) is not permitted. Our social nights and non-membered events are for connection\, conversation\, and community. We ask all attendees to respect the space and keep interactions within the boundaries of a social setting.

Queering613 is excited to bring you a new monthly event inspired by Stud Country out of LA\, featuring a half dance lesson\, half (country) dance party vibes. Let’s get hundreds of boots stomping  and Wrangler-clad hips shaking on the dance floor!  \n\n\n\n Jason Bett has been teaching dance for over 17 years and knows how to get everyone moving — from jive and swing to two-step and west coast swing!  \n\n\n\nHe’s deeply involved in the queer community in Ottawa  and brings energy\, fun\, and a whole lot of  to the dance floor! \n\n\n\nWhether you’re a beginner\, intermediate\, or someone with two left feet \, Jason’s got something exciting planned just for you  \n\n\n\n Join us on September 10th — you won’t want to miss it!  \n\n\n\nWhether you’re there to dance\, hang out with friends \, or just watch the action from the sidelines \, everyone is welcome to join in on the fun! Dressing to theme is highly encouraged – think chaps\, straps\, and spurs!  \n\n\n\nWhat to Expect: \n\n\n\nOverflowing Craft Brew  – Enjoy a wide selection of craft beers throughout the night. \n\n\n\nInclusive Space  – All genders and sexualities are welcome. \n\n\n\nAccessible Venue  – Overflow Brewing is a physically accessible venue\, with an accessible entrance and washrooms.
