DESCRIPTION:Are you 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️+?Are you creative? \n\n\n\nThen come celebrate the nice (🤞) weather and join us to Be Gay & Do Art… in the park! \n\n\n\n☆ All art\, creative mediums\, and skill levels are welcome! ☆ \n\n\n\nBGDA is an all ages drop-in program\, so feel free to come and go as needed! \n\n\n\n🎨🎨🎨 \n\n\n\nIf our unlucky streak continues and it rains\, we will move to Kind Space! Will announce as needed. \n\n\n\n🎉🎉🎉 \n\n\n\nWe will have a variety of art supplies for folks to use\, including beads\, collage materials and more! \n\n\n\nPlus\, we will also have lots of leftover pots and other painting supplies for anyone who couldn’t make it to our last pot painting event! \n\n\n\n♿️♿️♿️ \n\n\n\nWheelie Productions is committed to accessibility & disability justice. If you require any extra support to attend this event\, please reach out. \n\n\n\nAs part of this commitment and because COVID is an airborne virus\, we will still be requiring masks for those attending\, even though we are outside. We ask that all attendees wear a high-quality mask/respirator (KN95 or better) to increase the safety of our space. We will have extra KN95 & N95 masks available for anyone who needs one! \n\n\n\nMore Access Notes!!\n\n\n\n\nExtensive paved pathways\, picnic tables\, and shade (we will have our tent to help with this!)\n\n\n\nParking lot + street parking available.\n\n\n\nShort walk/roll from the #12 & #19 bus route\, and a 15-minute walk/roll from the UOttawa LRT stop.\n\n\n\nWashroom situation is unclear\, but information will be shared as we receive it!

All 2SLGBTQIA+ people welcome!(drop-in\, free\, No registration required) \n\n\n\nMay drop-in schedule:☆ Monday\, May 4\, 11\, 18 and Friday\, May 15 (6:30pm to 8:30pm) \n\n\n\n*May 15 will be a little (belated) celebration of two years of QLC. Baked goods provided 🙂 \n\n\n\nLocation: 400 Sparks St. (St. Peter’s Lutheran Church) Ottawa\, ON \n\n\n\nWe provide snacks\, water\, masks\, and weightlifting equipment! See the link in our bio for a full list of our equipment. \n\n\n\nWaivers:– Everyone is required to sign a waiver upon entry. No deadnames allowed on the waivers.– For those who’re under 18 years of age\, make sure a legal gaurdian can sign your waiver. There’s no mention of “queer” on the under 18 waiver.– Waivers can be viewed ahead of time through the link in our bio. \n\n\n\nMasks:– Wearing masks is mandatory.– We provide n95 masks.– Feel free to remove your mask to eat or drink\, but we ask that everyone respects the space of the people around them while doing so.– Windows will be open for air flow. \n\n\n\nEntrances:– Wheelchair accessible entrance faces Sparks St.– Part of the entrance measures only 35 inches in width.– Entry instructions posted on the door at both entrances. \n\n\n\nTransportation:– Free parking in the church’s driveway beside the parking lot.– Close to Lyon Station by train/bus.– Bikes can be kept in the church hall.– Paid parking in the parking lot.– Free street parking on nearby streets. \n\n\n\nRestrooms:– Two private\, gender neutral restrooms. It is on the second floor of the building and accessible only via stairs. Non-gendered washrooms are available.
