SUMMARY:GENDERCRAFT Part 4
DESCRIPTION:Gender Expression Applications \n\n\n\nThis module begins with a review of best practices related to supporting people with diverse gender identities in three areas: personal support\, institutional practices\, and environmental experiences. \n\n\n\nFollowing this review\, there is a brief discussion of current political realities facing people with diverse gender identities\, composed of discussing international context and reviewing current Canadian issues. \n\n\n\nThe bulk of the module will be a discussion of four scenarios. Each participant will have time to discuss two scenarios in detail\, and review the other two scenarios as part of a debrief. Each scenario has proposed discussion questions\, and most scenarios also include suggested scripts for practice.

SUMMARY:Erotic Rituals to Practice Dying
DESCRIPTION:Queer Death Salon is a virtual community space for all 2SLGBTQIA+ people to come together to discuss death\, dying and grief. It is a facilitated drop-in discussion space\, with the purpose of building connection\, skill\, and resources for 2SLGBTQIA+ people navigating end of life in our personal lives and in our communities. \n\n\n\nCaffyn will offer participants a few embodied practices through which they may wish to gently practice dying before they die. \n\n\n\nCaffyn will also share from their personal experience of sitting with the Spirit of Suicidality\, along with some relevant neurobiology teachings from the art and science of Sacred Intimacy. \n\n\n\nCaffyn is a well-known teacher of Intimacy Education\, a writer and a queer elder.They are the author of Love and Death in a Queer Universe\, Ecstatic Belonging\, Science for Sexual Happiness\, and many other books.

DESCRIPTION:Queer Death Salon is a virtual community space for all 2SLGBTQIA+ people to come together to discuss death\, dying and grief. It is a facilitated drop-in discussion space\, with the purpose of building connection\, skill\, and resources for 2SLGBTQIA+ people navigating end of life in our personal lives and in our communities. \n\n\n\nEnd of life planning can be a daunting task\, especially for the queer community. Participants will learn important factors to consider when doing their own end of life planning\, review key documents\, and talk about what to expect when working with a funeral director when a death occurs. \n\n\n\nEzra Salter (they/them) is a Louisiana licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer practicing in New Orleans. They are co-creator of the Louisiana LGBTQ+ End of Life Planning Guide. \n\n\n\nTheir professional focus includes advocacy for queer deathcare\, green burial options\, and the preservation of historic cemeteries. In their personal life they are a proud leatherdyke working to build local leather community.
