We are collecting stories\, jokes\, poems\, art\, and more from the trans and non-binary community in Ottawa and our friends and families. \n\n\n\nThe zine workshop is a collaborative event to discuss\, share\, and work on zines together. \n\n\n\nCome tell your story.We will provide paper\, templates\, and whatever art supplies we have. No experience necessary. All ages welcome\, children under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult. \n\n\n\nMasking the day of the event is encouraged. Accessibility note: There are two stairs at the door entrance. We have a ramp we can bring out for the door on request. There’s a washroom but it’s not large enough for many mobility devices.

DESCRIPTION:Write the story only you can tell. Join a supportive writing group designed to help you find the words for the life stories you haven’t found a way to tell. Facilitated by Jeremiah Bartram\, who has extensive training and experience as a writer and playwright. Inspired by the Writers’ Collective of Canada’s proven methodology. We will blend warm -up exercises\, creative prompts\, and reflective group discussion to get the writing flowing. This is not a therapy group – but personal wiring is powerful. The goal here is craft\, clarity\, and courage. Drop into OTL’s Youth Group on April 18th between 6pm-8pm to make some new friends and learn more about our community. Meetings are casual and drop in\, so you can stay for as long or as little as you would like. Expect a mix of discussion\, low stakes activities\, and free time to chat and connect. We will be meeting on the third Friday of each month\, so if you can’t make this one we hope to see you in the future!
