We are regulating so we can access our erotic creative energyyyy! \n\n\n\nSECOND HALF: Enjoy the hot\, wet\, juicy\, fruits of our labour with some live smut reading. \n\n\n\nBring your own journals\, pens\, etc. I will have some supplies too if you’d like. \n\n\n\nWant to read smut you’ve written outside of the event? No problem. Bring it with you. \n\n\n\nYou will NOT be put on the spot. Choosing to read is entirely optional. \n\n\n\nSigning up to read will be first come first serve in person at the event. \n\n\n\nRelaxed. Erotic. Creative. \n\n\n\nAccessibility\n\n\n\nThere is a 2 step stoop at the front entrance\, but our back entrance is at street level with only a 1.5 inch lip to get into the space. The main bathroom is in the basement which is 10 steps down. We do however have a small secondary washroom in our kitchen space across the driveway that can be accessed by key. This has a 4 inch lip at the entrance and is not necessarily comfortably wheelchair accessible in terms of space but may be useful for individuals who have other mobility issues that prevent them from using the stairs.

DESCRIPTION:Do you have a spicy story that your friends love to hear? Is there a seggs story you’ve always wanted to tell? Want to hear true saucy tales and vote on a winner? That is what smut slams are all about! Come out to Club SAW on July 20th for a hot and heavy summer fundraiser for Riverbed Reading Series. We have 10 spots for readers\, many seats to fill\, and an amazing silent auction featuring gifts from local businesses and smutty art from the SAW Gallery archives. \n\n\n\nThe Riverbed Reading Series Fundraiser is an annual event to raise funds for Ottawa’s only experimental literary reading and performance series. Five times a year\, we bring artists and audiences together to indulge in creativity and inspire cross-pollinations.  \n\n\n\nSign up to slam\, buy your tickets today\, then mark your calendars! Doors open at 6:30 p.m.\, and the slam starts promptly at 7:00 p.m. \n\n\n\nPlease note that all readers must follow the official Smut Slam storytelling rules\, which we have borrowed and adapted for this event. \n\n\n\nRiverbed’s Smut Slam Rules: \n\n\n\n• No notes\, costumes\, or props; this is storytelling\, not theater. \n\n\n\n• Only five minutes\, with a one-minute grace period. \n\n\n\n• The story must be real and have happened to you. \n\n\n\n• Please speak clearly into the mic. \n\n\n\n• CONSENT IS KEY. These must be stories about consensual sex. If it’s not consensual\, then it’s not sex. \n\n\n\n• This is not a “Kinkier Than Thou” competition. Tellers don’t get bonus points for more people and/or equipment in the story. We welcome people with all types and amounts of sexual experiences to our space. \n\n\n\n• Some stories are very raw and heavy. Readers are not required to give a content warning or note before their story\, but if your topic might be triggering\, we encourage you to let the audience know. \n\n\n\n• You don’t always need to be the hero. DESCRIPTION:On Friday January 9th Probe Ottawa X Miss Diagnosis present Galactic Gala: an out-of-this-world Showcase featuring drag\, burlesque and more! \n\n\n\nTrans people are here to stay\, and here to SLAY\, in this all-trans cast of Galactic Gala.  \n\n\n\nThe Lineup \n\n\n\n\nSkyler Sapphire (she/her)\n\n\n\nEdith Puthie (they/them)\n\n\n\nKarma K (she/her)\n\n\n\nMx. Tique (they/she/he)And your hosts with the most\, Miss Diagnosis (he/him) and Chlamydia (she/they) will be there to beam you into a universe of drag and boundary-breaking brilliance.\n\n\n\n\nEvent Schedule \n\n\n\n\n8PM: Doors open\n\n\n\n8:30PM: Show starts\n\n\n\n11:00PM: Show ends\n\n\n\n\nThis night is all about celebrating our incredible performers\, their artistry\, cosmic creativity and star-level performances! \n\n\n\nA one night Probe membership is included in your ticket price! We’ll still ask you to fill out a sign up form\, show ID\, and sign a waiver. You can always sign up for a full membership on our site here or at Probe. \n\n\n\nChoose your comfort level and participate in a consent focused show—wear a provided glow stick to indicate you are comfortable with performers interacting with you during their numbers\, and sit in the front rows! Alternatively\, sit in the back rows without a glow stick for an interaction-free show. \n\n\n\nGalactic Gala is happy to say that we pay every performer a guaranteed amount\, however tips are still highly encouraged as all the performers put so much into these numbers. For ease\, tip jars for each performer will be available. Feel free to tip the performer directly or utilize the tip jars throughout the show. Bring those $5 bills!! Miss Diagnosis will also have a square reader for credit/debit tips—to be split among all performers. \n\n\n\nTickets are available on a sliding scale to promote inclusivity and accessibility. We offer limited “supported” tickets at a lower price for community members who might otherwise be unable to attend. Please choose the ticket price that makes this event accessible to you. If you’d like to support event accessibility\, consider purchasing a “benevolent” ticket\, which helps subsidize lower-price options. All ticket types provide the same access to the event. \n\n\n\nAt Probe\, inclusivity is at the heart of everything we do. We welcome all individuals of all sexual orientations\, genders\, and identities. Our aim is to create an environment where everyone feels respected\, valued\, and free to express themselves authentically. Our venue is wheelchair accessible\, with an elevator available.
