DESCRIPTION:Pinball Women Ottawa (PWO) is a group in the Ottawa area for women\, non-binary\, and gender diverse individuals of all skill levels and ages that provides a supportive and inclusive environment to play and learn about pinball.  \n\n\n\nPWO’s monthly tournaments are on the **1st Wednesday each month at LOWERTOWN BREWERY** in the Byward Market.  \n\n\n\nWhen: Doors at 7pm // Tournament starts at 8pm.  \n\n\n\nFormat: 3 Strikes Knockout. Group size TBD!  \n\n\n\nAdditional information:  \n\n\n\n\nPWO has a new “pay it forward” initiative\, that folks are welcome to access and/or contribute to. \n\n\n\nMost of the machines at Lowertown are on the ground level. A few are downstairs. Please inform a TD if you need to stick to the ground floor. \n\n\n\nLowertown has one gender neutral & accessible washroom on the ground floor. The door must be opened manually (no automatic door). \n\n\n\nWhen in the lower level room\, feel free to close the sliding door to avoid disruptions from curious patrons. The lower level is not as closely monitored by bar staff as the ground floor.

Expect high-energy dance tracks and all your fave queers! \n\n\n\nGet fancy and dance with cuties! \n\n\n\nOptional Gift Exchange \n\n\n\nWe’re holding a little gift exchange. Wrap up your fave (used) book\, something you were gifted but won’t use\, write out a poem you wrote\, share a zine or some homemade cookies! Any cute little gift for the trade pile. Anyone who wants to participate will leave their gift with the others and take one with them when they leave. \n\n\n\nHighlights \n\n\n\n\nThis event centers people who are queer and/or trans who take covid precautions in their everyday lives. Allies who take covid precautions are also welcome but please be mindful that this is primarily a space for queer and/or trans folks. We also welcome 2SLGBTQIA+ folks who are interested in a sober-friendly space and who will respect the covid-safer protocols of this event!\n\n\n\nMask mandatory event (KN95 or better). Masks are provided at the door and required before entry.\n\n\n\nThis is a substance-free and sober-friendly event. Guests are welcome to consume before or after the event\, but please be mindful of intoxication levels.\n\n\n\nSliding scale tickets.\n\n\n\nThe canteen is open for non-alcoholic beverages. While we encourage folks to B.Y.O.F. (bring your own frame)\, we will also have some available in various sizes\, alongside lots of potential decorations! \n\n\n\n♿️♿️♿️ \n\n\n\nWheelie Productions is committed to accessibility & disability justice. If you require any extra support to attend this event\, please reach out. \n\n\n\nAs part of this commitment\, we will be requiring masks for those attending. Join us for light conversation\, bring your scent-free arts and crafts\, or enjoy board and card games with us during this chill evening! \n\n\n\nFeel free to dress in your favourite winter spirit attire to celebrate the holidays with us. ❄️ If you’re feeling extra naughty this year\, bring your Krampus horns! Escape from the cold and join us for some hot chocolate\, crafts\, and fun games to celebrate the end of 2025 and welcome 2026! 🎉 \n\n\n\nWhy Soft and Low? Social Nights can be so much fun and a great way to get to know the community! However\, for those with sensory processing issues and multiple chemical sensitivities\, they can become overwhelming and unmanageable due to lighting\, noise and loud talking\, and wafts of perfume. Soft and Low events strive to create a pleasant\, quieter atmosphere with dimmed lighting for those who require a less overstimulating environment. \n\n\n\nWe request that attendees refrain from using scented body and hair products such as perfumes\, sprays\, colognes\, fragranced shampoos/conditioners\, scented lotions\, strong deodorants\, hairsprays\, etc. the day of or during the event. Please ensure any craft items brought into the space are non-toxic\, easy to clean up\, and don’t produce fumes or odors (i.e. no glues\, markers\, glitter\, varnishes\, or paints except watercolours). Those wearing fragranced products will kindly be offered the opportunity to return at another time\, thus ensuring a scent-free environment for all participants with sensitivities or allergies. \n\n\n\nThis is a drop in event. Membership is not required. Light snacks and non alcoholic beverages are always provided. Feel free to contribute to our intergalactic cause with a donation – your support fuels our mission to explore and connect the community together. \n\n\n\nAt this event\, play is not permitted.
