DESCRIPTION:A running and walking club for 2SLGBTQ+ community and friends in the National Capital Region\, meeting Tuesday nights\, Friday nights\, and Saturday mornings (09:00 (spring\, summer\, fall); 09:30 (winter; from the first Saturday of December to the last Saturday of March)) at 111 Lisgar Street\, the rear entrance of City Hall. \n\n\n\nRuns are held: \n\n\n\n\nTuesdays at 6:30 pm\, after which we go for coffee (Routes)\n\n\n\nSaturdays at 9:00 am (9:30 am from the first Saturday of December to the last Saturday of March inclusive)\, followed by breakfast  (Routes)\n\n\n\n\nWomen’s 5km run \n\n\n\n\nFridays at 5:00 pm\n\n\n\nThis event is open to all who identify as women\, female-identifying\, non-binary\, and Two-Spirit individuals\n\n\n\nFor more details\, please email wmns@ottawafrontrunners.org \n\n\n\n\nNOTICE: 2025 Gatineau runs — Saturdays\, 10 May\, 14 June\, 12 July\, 9 August\, 13 September\, and 11 October. \n\n\n\nCancellation of runs are rare\, only owing to holidays and hazardous weather. DESCRIPTION:OSPN in partnership with The Good Companions is delighted to offer in person programming to our 55+ LGBTQ2+ community.  \n\n\n\nOut and About Saturdays is specialty programming for the 55+ LGBTQ2+ community. Ideas for offerings can be forwarded to the program coordinator\, Stephane Gauthier at sgauthier@thegoodcompanions.ca or by telephone at (613) 236-0428 ext. 2353.  \n\n\n\nOnce a month Stephane and the Saturday programming committee meet to discuss potential offerings and brainstorm new ideas and opportunities for programming. DESCRIPTION:About the Workshop:Are you interested in learning how to turn a memory or anecdote into a more substantial story about your life as a member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community or an 2SLGBTQIA+ ally? We often share these “kitchen table” moments about our daily experiences as 2SLGBTQIA+ without realizing their potential as stories. This workshop offers you ways to transform these “moments of being” into a compelling work of art. By focusing on one or more meaningful life experiences\, you’ll learn to shape a piece that highlights the importance of these moments from your life as 2SLGBTQIA+ or as an ally and will connect deeply with listeners. \n\n\n\nAbout The Facilitator:Jeffrey Canton has been telling personal stories for nearly 30 years as well as teaching how queer storytellers can shape stories about their lives and experiences into performance pieces that have the depth and power they deserve. Whether you’re interested in telling a story about your connection to a key event in 2SLGBTQIA+ history\, your coming out along the spectrum of queer identity\, a transformative moment in your queerness or a slice of your life as 2SLGBTQIA+\, Jeffrey will share different ways that you can explore to make your story come alive.
