DESCRIPTION:We are a non-audition choir! Members are required to be able to carry a tune and to sing in a treble vocal range (Soprano or Alto). We are a performance-focused choir; we expect singers to participate in at least one annual concert; members may also perform at extra performances/gigs throughout the season. \n\n\n\nOur rehearsals take place each Tuesday evenings; our main rehearsal time is 7:00 – 8:30pm. SUMMARY:Transform Gender Collective (TGC) Monthly Meetings
DESCRIPTION:Transform Gender Collective (TGC) is a support and discussion group for transmasculine and masculine-of-center Black\, indigenous\, and people of color (BIPOC) to learn about transformative justice\, unlearn toxic gendered behaviors\, and imagine what masculinity could look like outside of the gender binary.  \n\n\n\nDuring our virtual meetings\, we will dive deep into the framework of transformative justice (TJ) and how we can apply it to our everyday lives\, create a community of support for one another\, and share our personal stories of coming into our genders. Our ultimate goal is to move the group towards a closed community accountability space where we can practice robust transformative justice as we heal and grow in our masculinities together.  \n\n\n\nTGC is open to any Black\, Indigenous\, and/or person of color (BIPOC) who identifies as transmasculine or masculine-of-center\, regardless of gender identity.  \n\n\n\nWe ask that white-passing BIPOC reflect on their privilege and the way they are racialized. At TGC\, we discuss our gendered experiences as people that are racialized as Black or brown in the world. Please choose whether to attend our meetings based on these reflections.   \n\n\n\nOur virtual monthly meetings are held over Zoom and take place on the last Wednesday of each month from 6:30-8PM EST. Bring your knitting\, crochet\, sewing\, quilting\, felting — whatever you’re working on\, and create in community while enjoying a cuppa or a tasty treat. \n\n\n\nThere are ramps on either end of our strip mall’s sidewalk for wheelchairs\, walkers\, and strollers to access the front door. It’s awkward and not perfect\, but it works! Cafe is all one level. washroom has an extra wide door and grab bars to facilitate transfers. All of our furniture is rated for a minimum of 250 lbs with some chairs rated for 500 lbs. The space is well lit with warm-toned overhead lamps. Background music plays at a low volume. Our doors are all manual\, not automated.  \n\n\n\nGluten free\, vegan\, and refined sugar-free options are available for food and drink. \n\n\n\nCafé Bon Vivant is a queer-owned business. The facilitator for Coffee and Crochet is also a member of the queer community. This event is free and open to everyone.

SUMMARY:In Harmony Choir Rehearsal
DESCRIPTION:We are a non-audition choir! Members are required to be able to carry a tune and to sing in a treble vocal range (Soprano or Alto). We are a performance-focused choir; we expect singers to participate in at least one annual concert; members may also perform at extra performances/gigs throughout the season. \n\n\n\nOur rehearsals take place each Tuesday evenings; our main rehearsal time is 7:00 – 8:30pm.
