Located in Ottawa\, it is Canada’s national capital chapter of International Frontrunners. We have runners of various ages and skill levels and typically have groups going between 5 and 9 km (3 and 5.59 miles) at various paces. No deadnames on the waiver please! \n\n\n\nIf you’re under 18\, please make sure a legal guardian can sign the waiver. There’s no mention of “queer” on the under 18 waiver. \n\n\n\nENTRANCES:The church’s back entrance will be unlocked. If you need the door opened for you\, ring the doorbell. See the link in our bio for instructions about the wheelchair accessible front entrance (facing Sparks St.). There will be instructions posted on the door at both entrances. \n\n\n\nMASKS:Masks are strongly encouraged. We provide kn94 masks. \n\n\n\nQUIET AREA:There is a quiet area with seating and low-lighting in the church itself. There is also a park across the street where you can take a break if needed. \n\n\n\nRESTROOMS:The church has two private\, gender neutral restrooms. One is wheelchair accessible. We always have pads and tampons available in the restrooms for anyone who needs them. Feel free to take them 🙂 \n\n\n\nTRANSPORTATION:There are spots for free parking in the church’s driveway beside the parking lot. There’s also paid parking in the parking lot and street parking on nearby streets. The church is close to Lyon Station by train/bus. Bikes can be locked on the railings outside or kept inside the church hall.

DESCRIPTION:Carleton University’s Office of the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and the Department of English Language and Literature invite you to join us for the 2024-2025 Munro Beattie Lecture\, “Imps and Imposters: Where Do Stories Come From”\, with author\, actor\, and playwright\, Ann-Marie MacDonald. \n\n\n\nAnn-Marie MacDonald is a queer novelist\, playwright\, actor\, and broadcast host.  Her work has been honoured with numerous awards\, including the Chalmers\, the Governor General’s\, Gemini\, Dora Mavor Moore\, John Drainie\, the Gascon-Thomas\, the Canadian Authors Association\, the Canadian Booksellers Association\, and the Commonwealth Prize.  Her writing for the stage includes the plays\, Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning\, Juliet)\, Belle Moral:  A Natural History\, and Hamlet-911; the libretto for the chamber opera\, Nigredo Hotel\, and book and lyrics for Anything That Moves; her novels are Fall On Your Knees\, The Way the Crow Flies\, Adult Onset\, and Fayne.  Ann-Marie graduated from the Acting Program of The National Theatre School of Canada in 1980.  In 2019 she was made an Officer of the Order of Canada.  She is married to theatre director\, Alisa Palmer\, with whom she has two children.

Located in Ottawa\, it is Canada’s national capital chapter of International Frontrunners. We have runners of various ages and skill levels and typically have groups going between 5 and 9 km (3 and 5.59 miles) at various paces. Walkers are also members of the club\, consisting usually of runners on the injury list and partners or friends of runners.
