Located in Ottawa\, it is Canada’s national capital chapter of International Frontrunners. We have runners of various ages and skill levels and typically have groups going between 5 and 9 km (3 and 5.59 miles) at various paces. Walkers are also members of the club\, consisting usually of runners on the injury list and partners or friends of runners.

No deadnames on the waiver please! \n\n\n\nIf you’re under 18\, please make sure a legal guardian can sign the waiver. There is also a park across the street where you can take a break if needed. \n\n\n\nRESTROOMS:The church has two private\, gender neutral restrooms. One is wheelchair accessible. We always have pads and tampons available in the restrooms for anyone who needs them. Feel free to take them 🙂 \n\n\n\nTRANSPORTATION:There are spots for free parking in the church’s driveway beside the parking lot. There’s also paid parking in the parking lot and street parking on nearby streets. The church is close to Lyon Station by train/bus. Bikes can be locked on the railings outside or kept inside the church hall.

Travel back in our 1920s speakeasy joint for the hottest of jazz that blends the spirit of ragtime\, the magic of the blues\, and energy of brass band marches played by a quartet of local musicians! DESCRIPTION:Run 5 \, 7\, or 9 km with the Frontrunners and have breakfast afterwards at Cooper’s Gastropub. \n\n\n\nOttawa Frontrunners (OFR) is a running and walking club for members of the Two-Spirit\, Lesbian\, Gay\, Bisexual\, Transgender\, and Queer (2SLGBTQ) community and friends. Located in Ottawa\, it is Canada’s national capital chapter of International Frontrunners. We have runners of various ages and skill levels and typically have groups going between 5 and 9 km (3 and 5.59 miles) at various paces. Walkers are also members of the club\, consisting usually of runners on the injury list and partners or friends of runners.

DESCRIPTION:A six-week in-person workshop   \n\n\n\nWant to tell your story? Or a story? What story have you always wanted to tell?  \n\n\n\nAs Elders in the queer community\, your stories are important to be shared\, to be heard\, and to be remembered.  \n\n\n\nThis Winter/Spring session is open to folks who have never written a story and to those who have. If you have attended one of Mary Ellen’s workshops before\, you are welcome to come back and develop your storytelling skills. Mary Ellen has over thirty years of experience creating work for the stage and collaborating with people of all ages. \n\n\n\nDuring this six-week workshop\, participants will meet once a week for two hours to learn basic skills to create and tell their story. Stories can be serious or comic or a blend of both. Participants may use movement\, puppets\, music – however you want to tell your story – are all welcome! \n\n\n\nThis workshop offers an opportunity to gather\, deepen your community connections\, and create stories with the support of each other. The focus is on having FUN\, learning some new skills\, and connecting with each other. \n\n\n\nFamily and friends are invited to the final session to hear the participant’s stories. \n\n\n\nThis workshop is held in English. The registration fee gives you access to all 6 workshop sessions from February 22 to March 29\, 2025.
