Located in Ottawa\, it is Canada’s national capital chapter of International Frontrunners. We have runners of various ages and skill levels and typically have groups going between 5 and 9 km (3 and 5.59 miles) at various paces. Walkers are also members of the club\, consisting usually of runners on the injury list and partners or friends of runners.

DESCRIPTION:A six-week in-person workshop   \n\n\n\nWant to tell your story? Or a story? What story have you always wanted to tell?  \n\n\n\nAs Elders in the queer community\, your stories are important to be shared\, to be heard\, and to be remembered.  \n\n\n\nThis Winter/Spring session is open to folks who have never written a story and to those who have. If you have attended one of Mary Ellen’s workshops before\, you are welcome to come back and develop your storytelling skills. Mary Ellen has over thirty years of experience creating work for the stage and collaborating with people of all ages. \n\n\n\nDuring this six-week workshop\, participants will meet once a week for two hours to learn basic skills to create and tell their story. Stories can be serious or comic or a blend of both. Participants may use movement\, puppets\, music – however you want to tell your story – are all welcome! \n\n\n\nThis workshop offers an opportunity to gather\, deepen your community connections\, and create stories with the support of each other. The focus is on having FUN\, learning some new skills\, and connecting with each other. \n\n\n\nFamily and friends are invited to the final session to hear the participant’s stories. \n\n\n\nThis workshop is held in English. The registration fee gives you access to all 6 workshop sessions from February 22 to March 29\, 2025.

DESCRIPTION:Come ready to sing! In this interactive concert\, Tone Cluster and All Voices queer choirs will lead the audience in singing songs of protest and justice\, as well as perform some choral numbers. Joining us for this event will be Kimberly Waigwa\, the Artistic Director of Minnesota’s One Voice Chorus!  \n\n\n\nThe concert will be approx. 75 mins\, with a short intermission.  \n\n\n\nThe venue is First Unitarian\, which is a wheelchair accessible space and has gender neutral single stall washrooms in addition to multiple stall gendered washrooms. Seating is cushioned wooden pews. The space is secular in nature.  \n\n\n\nFree parking is available on site and there are nearby bus stops. DESCRIPTION:Our Affirm Program is excited to announce a new virtual drop-in throughout the month of March! 🏳️‍⚧️ \n\n\n\n💫 The drop-in is open to trans and gender-diverse people of all ages who want support in navigating gender-affirming care\, whatever that might look like for them. Our navigators offer free resources\, system navigation support\, peer counselling from someone with lived experience\, and peer connection opportunities. \n\n\n\nFrequent topics of support include navigating: \n\n\n\n🌷Affirming Care: accessing hormones\, surgeries\, and medical care\, connecting people to gender-affirming and peer programs\, and identifying trans-inclusive providers. \n\n\n\n🌷Affirming Contraception: trans-centered support around pregnancy prevention\, menstrual suppression\, endometriosis management\, polycystic ovarian syndrome\, and affirming contraceptive decision making. \n\n\n\n🌷Affirming Pregnancy: trans-centered discussions around pathways to parenthood\, parenting resources\, fertility preservation\, accessing abortion as a trans person\, and navigating a pregnancy as a trans person. \n\n\n\n💖 We know everyone’s journey is different and some people may be facing complex challenges in finding care. We aim to support you in finding the best options for you to find the care you are looking for. Featuring traditional sub-Saharan clean guitar lines\, classic deep bass and movement-inspiring beats\, OK Naledi’s compelling lyricism and catchy melodies showcase them as an exciting\, up and coming group to keep tabs on in the Canadian music landscape. Masks will be available at the entrance. Parking is available next to the ACO building\, with additional street parking nearby.
