DESCRIPTION:Weekly\, all-ages\, fibre arts meetup open to all skill levels. Bring your knitting\, crochet\, sewing\, quilting\, felting — whatever you’re working on\, and create in community while enjoying a cuppa or a tasty treat. \n\n\n\nThere are ramps on either end of our strip mall’s sidewalk for wheelchairs\, walkers\, and strollers to access the front door. It’s awkward and not perfect\, but it works! Cafe is all one level. washroom has an extra wide door and grab bars to facilitate transfers. All of our furniture is rated for a minimum of 250 lbs with some chairs rated for 500 lbs. The space is well lit with warm-toned overhead lamps. Background music plays at a low volume. Our doors are all manual\, not automated.  \n\n\n\nGluten free\, vegan\, and refined sugar-free options are available for food and drink. \n\n\n\nCafé Bon Vivant is a queer-owned business. The facilitator for Coffee and Crochet is also a member of the queer community. This event is free and open to everyone.

DESCRIPTION:In preparation for Ottawa’s Pride Month\, GayZone is partnering with Ottawa Public Health to host an mpox vaccination clinic for eligible community members.  \n\n\n\nPlease take a minute to review the eligibility criteria below before booking an appointment. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWho can receive the Imvamune® vaccine for protection before an exposure to the mpox virus?  \n\n\n\nAnyone who received one dose of the Imvamune® mpox vaccine can now receive a second dose at least 28 days after receiving their first dose. This includes individuals who received the vaccine for protection before or after an exposure to the mpox virus.  \n\n\n\nBased on the Ontario Ministry of Health guidelines\, the following groups are eligible for a 2-dose series of the Imvamune® vaccine for protection. \n\n\n\na) Two-spirited\, non-binary\, transgender\, cisgender\, intersex\, or gender-queer individuals who self-identify or have sexual partners who self-identify as belonging to the gay\, bisexual\, pansexual and other men who have sex with men (gbMSM) community AND at least one of the following: \n\n\n\n\nHad a confirmed sexually transmitted infection within the last year.\n\n\n\nHave or are planning to have two or more sexual partners or are in a relationship where at least one of the partners may have other sexual partners.\n\n\n\nHave attended venues for sexual contact (i.e.\, bath houses\, sex clubs) recently or may be planning to\, or who work/volunteer in these settings.\n\n\n\nHave had anonymous sex (e.g.\, using hookup apps) recently or may be planning to.\n\n\n\nAre a sexual contact of an individual who engages in sex work.\n\n\n\n\nb) Individuals who self-identify as engaging in sex work or are planning to\, regardless of self-identified sex or gender. \n\n\n\nc) Household and/or sexual contacts of those identified for pre-exposure vaccination eligibility in parts (a) and/or (b) above AND who are moderately to severely immunocompromised or pregnant may be considered for pre-exposure vaccination. Bring your knitting\, crochet\, sewing\, quilting\, felting — whatever you’re working on\, and create in community while enjoying a cuppa or a tasty treat. \n\n\n\nThere are ramps on either end of our strip mall’s sidewalk for wheelchairs\, walkers\, and strollers to access the front door. It’s awkward and not perfect\, but it works! Cafe is all one level. washroom has an extra wide door and grab bars to facilitate transfers. All of our furniture is rated for a minimum of 250 lbs with some chairs rated for 500 lbs. The space is well lit with warm-toned overhead lamps. Background music plays at a low volume. Our doors are all manual\, not automated.  \n\n\n\nGluten free\, vegan\, and refined sugar-free options are available for food and drink. \n\n\n\nCafé Bon Vivant is a queer-owned business. The facilitator for Coffee and Crochet is also a member of the queer community. This event is free and open to everyone.
