DESCRIPTION:Join us every week to lift weights with queer people!! All ages\, levels of experience\, and forms of exercise are welcome 💪 Drop-in at any time and stay for however long you’d like! Our meetups are free and there’s no registration required. Just come hangout!! \n\n\n\nWe’ll provide snacks\, water\, masks\, and weight lifting equipment! See the link in our bio for a full list of our equipment. \n\n\n\nOur meetups are not instructional\, but we’re happy to provide guidance and check your form. \n\n\n\nWAIVERS:Everyone is required to sign a waiver for liability reasons due to the heavy weight lifting equipment involved. The waiver can be viewed ahead of time through the link in our bio. We’ll have blank waivers available to be signed as people arrive. No deadnames on the waiver please! \n\n\n\nIf you’re under 18\, please make sure a legal guardian can sign the waiver. There’s no mention of “queer” on the under 18 waiver. \n\n\n\nENTRANCES:The church’s back entrance will be unlocked. If you need the door opened for you\, ring the doorbell. We provide kn94 masks. \n\n\n\nQUIET AREA:There is a quiet area with seating and low-lighting in the church itself. There is also a park across the street where you can take a break if needed. \n\n\n\nRESTROOMS:The church has two private\, gender neutral restrooms. One is wheelchair accessible. We always have pads and tampons available in the restrooms for anyone who needs them. Feel free to take them 🙂 \n\n\n\nTRANSPORTATION:There are spots for free parking in the church’s driveway beside the parking lot. There’s also paid parking in the parking lot and street parking on nearby streets. The church is close to Lyon Station by train/bus. Bikes can be locked on the railings outside or kept inside the church hall.

DESCRIPTION:The leading ladies of House of Kink are delighted to introduce Ottawa to a whole new event series called “No Boys Allowed” (NBA). NBA parties are bi+ events that aim to cultivate a safe and welcoming environment for women and other individuals with non-cis-male gender identities to authentically express their sensual and sexual selves\, connect and engage in erotic energy together\, and explore their curiosities. NBA parties are explicitly welcoming to folks who identify as women or non-cis-male identities (including trans\, and/or nonbinary). \n\n\n\n*Bi+ meaning catering to bi-sexual and bi-curious women and other individuals with non-cis-male gender identities\, but also inclusive of queer\, pan\, lesbian\, sapphic\, omni and other multisexual identities. \n\n\n\nThese dance events offer a safe environment for flirtation and playfulness without the feeling of pressure or predatory behaviour that can sometimes come from the cis-male gaze. We welcome women and individuals with non cis-male gender identifies from all backgrounds and of all body types at NBA events. \n\n\n\nThis first NBA event has a special theme: SLUMBER PARTY! DESCRIPTION:Run 5 \, 7\, or 9 km with the Frontrunners and have breakfast afterwards at Cooper’s Gastropub. \n\n\n\nOttawa Frontrunners (OFR) is a running and walking club for members of the Two-Spirit\, Lesbian\, Gay\, Bisexual\, Transgender\, and Queer (2SLGBTQ) community and friends. Located in Ottawa\, it is Canada’s national capital chapter of International Frontrunners. We have runners of various ages and skill levels and typically have groups going between 5 and 9 km (3 and 5.59 miles) at various paces. Walkers are also members of the club\, consisting usually of runners on the injury list and partners or friends of runners.

We strive to reflect the diversity of our communities at every show. Our success is partially dependent upon the availability of readers. \n\n\n\nWe regret that the venue is inaccessible to some people. It is on the second floor of the building and accessible only via stairs. Non-gendered washrooms are available. \n\n\n\nDoors will open at 7:00 pm. We cannot admit anybody prior to 7:00 pm. The show will begin at 8:00 pm sharp. DESCRIPTION:Run or walk with Frontrunners and join us for a beverage or supper after (place to be determined). \n\n\n\nOttawa Frontrunners (OFR) is a running and walking club for members of the Two-Spirit\, Lesbian\, Gay\, Bisexual\, Transgender\, and Queer (2SLGBTQ) community and friends. Located in Ottawa\, it is Canada’s national capital chapter of International Frontrunners. We have runners of various ages and skill levels and typically have groups going between 5 and 9 km (3 and 5.59 miles) at various paces. Walkers are also members of the club\, consisting usually of runners on the injury list and partners or friends of runners.

DESCRIPTION:Karaoke this month is themed around cozy songs you’d want to sing around the fireplace. However\, you can also absolutely choose other songs outside of the theme if you need. This is an all ages event. Children twelve years of age or younger need to be accompanied by an adult. Minors (ages 13-17) will need to provide an emergency contact. Feel free to come in onesies or pajamas! \n\n\n\nMaximum Participants: 35 people  \n\n\n\nWe’ll be using Youtube karaoke videos on a TV screen or projector screen. In addition\, we have two microphones attached to a separate sound system. You can sing in a group\, be in a duet\, or go solo! When you have your song(s) decided\, you can write them down with your name\, or tell Lukayo\, and you’ll be put on the list. \n\n\n\nRegistration is needed for security reasons\, access needs\, and food requirements in case we provide snacks for the evening.  \n\n\n\nDeadline for Registration: 3pm on Thurs Jan 23.If you do not register before the deadline\, you might be turned away at the door. We are no longer taking walk-ins for programs and events.
