DESCRIPTION:A life drawing event by and for members of the trans community. \n\n\n\nThis in-person class is open exclusively to the trans community\, including non-binary and 2-Spirit people\, aged 18+. We aim to create a unique\, empowering space where the trans community can come together to create art. \n\n\n\nSpecial thanks to our amazing partners at the AIDS Committee of Ottawa (ACO) for hosting us in their space. \n\n\n\nAccessibility\n\n\n\nTo ensure a safe and inclusive environment\, masks are required for all participants. Masks will be available at the entrance. Parking is available next to the ACO building\, with additional street parking nearby. The events are held in The Living Room at the ACO\, which is wheelchair accessible. \n\n\n\nTiered ticket prices are available—if you need a free ticket or drawing materials\, please email us at cangrant@translibrary.ca or joan.archer@translibrary.ca.  \n\n\n\nHouse Rules\n\n\n\nPlease arrive and set up 10 minutes before we start. \n\n\n\nUpon arrival\, you will be asked to read and sign the AIDS Committee of Ottawa’s Confidentiality Agreement. As the ACO provides therapeutic services\, maintaining confidentiality is crucial. If you’d like to review the agreement ahead of time\, please reach out. \n\n\n\nNo photography or recording is allowed. Violating this rule will result in an immediate lifetime ban. \n\n\n\nNo pronoun assumptions! DESCRIPTION:Join MAX\, the AIDS Committee of Ottawa\, and Capital Rainbow Refuge in curating an art collection for National HIV Testing Day.  \n\n\n\nOn Tuesday\, June 16\, we’re meeting at the AIDS Committee of Ottawa for an evening of crafting and community. Join us to design your own unique face mask\, expressing what HIV testing means to you. As an art medium\, masking has long represented anonymity\, protection\, and choice. For this upcoming Queerspora session\, we’re using masks to represent our lived experiences.  \n\n\n\nOn National HIV Testing Day (June 27)\, the art will be showcased in the ByWard Market to support public education and stigma reduction efforts.  \n\n\n\nAll materials provided.  \n\n\n\nQueerspora is MAX Ottawa’s monthly social group for queer newcomers.  \n\n\n\nRSVP through the form below to let us know you’re coming!
