DESCRIPTION:The Lovers’ Demise album release party is a journey through the mind of a lover who seeks true connections. Combining genres like rnb\, soul and jazz\, Ébby is inviting real lovers to an immersive experience in which listeners are encouraged to be vulnerable and wear their hearts on their sleeve. Performances are brought to you by Ébby and Whitney Mambou. \n\n\n\nBIO\n\n\n\nÉbby is a Cameroonian multidisciplinary artist\, specializing in RnB\, soul and jazz. After completing the 2024 Produced by Youth advanced program\, they have been featured in two Pieces of Us seasons\, on Luscious Creatures as a new artist and performed at QYAC Rainbow Riffs showcase.   Now\, they are working on their debut album “Lover’s Demise”\, centring a queer love tale out on Valentine’s Day. Chantal’s live performances feature herself\, her guitar and her feelings\, and have been described as cozy\, intimate\, and an unexpected cure for a Friday-night hangover. Willem is currently on tour across Ontario in support of his recent singles\, and vinyl release. \n\n\n\nBios \n\n\n\n​​The sweeping folk anthems of Willem James Cowan have been capturing ears across eastern Canada since 2018. Across three releases and various singles\, he has explored the uncharted corners of his soul and sound. Cowan’s lush production is always in service of soft-spoken truths and an eye to the  \n\n\n\nEmma Schuster is an environmentalist singer songwriter and music blogger dedicated to exploring the natural world and highlighting sustainability issues in the music industry.  \n\n\n\nSammy Hayes\, singer/songwriter/professional guitar fumbler. Sugar in the raw.  \n\n\n\nAccolades \n\n\n\nWillem James Cowan was a winner of Summerfolk Festival’s “Youth Discoveries” program in 2017\, playing the festival with the likes of Bahamas\, Fred Penner\, and Sarah Harmer. In 2018\, he was presented with Fanshawe College’s Songwriter of the Year award\, and In 2022\, he released his debut full-length album\, “Mourning in the Morningtime”. We will have tons of games in house (over 35\, in fact)\, but feel free to bring your own as well. \n\n\n\nPlease note this is a whole house event so all tables in the space will be reserved for those playing games! \n\n\n\nIMPORTANT ACCESSIBILITY INFO:At the moment\, we are not wheelchair accessible beyond our driveway patio. There is Tim Hortons (2min away) with an accessible washroom open until 8pm. As well as an accessible washroom at Massine’s Independent Grocer (7-10min away) which is open until 10pm.
