DESCRIPTION:We’re hosting our final pop-up vaccine clinic of the summer. This Saturday\, come by the MAX office during the Street Festival for your first or second dose of the mpox vaccine. Please review the eligibility criteria below from Ottawa Public Health in advance.  \n\n\n\nWalk-ins welcome\, or skip the line by booking an appointment. \n\n\n\n\n\nWho can receive the Imvamune® vaccine for protection before an exposure to the mpox virus? \n\n\n\nAnyone who received one dose of the Imvamune® mpox vaccine can now receive a second dose at least 28 days after receiving their first dose. This includes individuals who received the vaccine for protection before or after an exposure to the mpox virus.  \n\n\n\nBased on the Ontario Ministry of Health guidelines\, the following groups are eligible for a 2-dose series of the Imvamune® vaccine for protection. \n\n\n\na) Two-spirited\, non-binary\, transgender\, cisgender\, intersex\, or gender-queer individuals who self-identify or have sexual partners who self-identify as belonging to the gay\, bisexual\, pansexual and other men who have sex with men (gbMSM)community AND at least one of the following: \n\n\n\n\nHad a confirmed sexually transmitted infection within the last year.\n\n\n\nHave or are planning to have two or more sexual partners or are in a relationship where at least one of the partners may have other sexual partners.\n\n\n\nHave attended venues for sexual contact (i.e.\, bath houses\, sex clubs) recently or may be planning to\, or who work/volunteer in these settings.\n\n\n\nHave had anonymous sex (e.g.\, using hookup apps) recently or may be planning to.\n\n\n\nAre a sexual contact of an individual who engages in sex work.\n\n\n\n\nb) Individuals who self-identify as engaging in sex work or are planning to\, regardless of self-identified sex or gender. \n\n\n\nc) Household and/or sexual contacts of those identified for pre-exposure vaccination eligibility in parts (a) and/or (b) above AND who are moderately to severely immunocompromised or pregnant may be considered for pre-exposure vaccination. These individuals may be at higher risk for severe illness from a mpox infection and should contact their healthcare provider or Ottawa Public Health at 613-580-6744 for more information.

À travers des entretiens sincères\, les participant·es partagent les défis liés à l’intersection de leur identité\, notamment la queerphobie racialisée\, c’est-à-dire la discrimination vécue non seulement à cause de leur orientation sexuelle ou genre\, mais aussi en raison de leur origine ethnique ou raciale  . \n\n\n\nLe film met en lumière : \n\n\n\n\nLa double marginalisation : certains témoignent de micro‑agressions ou d’actes clairement discriminatoires\, à la fois sur des bases queer et raciales.\n\n\n\nLe poids des stéréotypes : l’homonationalisme est abordé\, où certaines formes de queerphobie sont expliquées comme étant culturellement “excusables” ou plus durables quand elles viennent de personnes racisées  .\n\n\n\nLes parcours de résilience et de réaffirmation : des récits de survivance\, de réappropriation culturelle et de fierté queer‑racisée montrent comment\, malgré les obstacles\, ces personnes trouvent force et communauté.\n\n\n\n\nEn résumé\, L’amour en partage invite à une réflexion sur les réalités vécues à cette double identité\, souligne l’importance de reconnaître et combattre les multiples formes d’oppression\, et valorise les stratégies de résistance et de solidarité au sein de la communauté.
