DESCRIPTION:This month\, MAX’s Queerspora session for queer newcomers is teaming up with the Chez Nous – African and Newcomer Pride festival. Join us at the Community Reunion for: \n\n\n\n Live Performances – live music\, drag\, spoken word\, and DJ sets Food – African and Caribbean food ️‍ Community Fair – tables for organizations\, vendors\, artisans\, and mutual aid groups \n\n\n\nTo join us\, sign up through the form below! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Chez Nous\n\n\n\nThis three-day celebration honors African and Newcomer queer and trans identities through performance\, community building\, and ballroom culture. It runs from July 24–26\, 2026\, in partnership with Kind Space\, the LGBTQIA+ Newcomer Program at Centretown Community Health Centre\, Touchgrass\, United in Pride\, and Pride is Political. \n\n\n\nAccessibility Notes\n\n\n\n\nMcNabb is accessible by public transit\n\n\n\nFree parking is available via 180 Percy Street entrance \n\n\n\nPlease walk with any personal supports to combat the summer weather (sunscreen\, water\, umbrellas\, hats\, etc)\n\n\n\nWashrooms are available inside the McNabb Recreational Centre.
