DESCRIPTION:Off The Cuff is a casual\, creative writing workshop\, perfect for those who want to flex their creative muscles and meet other folks who love the craft.  \n\n\n\nWho: Anyone who loves to write for fun and/or experiment with the craft \n\n\n\nWhen: Thursday\, May 29th at 6pm – 8pm (End time is approximate) \n\n\n\nWhere: The Second Floor of Milk Shop at 45 William Street \n\n\n\nWhy: Because writing and being creative is fun! \n\n\n\nNo formal writing experience is required – bring some paper and something to write with. If you’re more comfortable using a laptop or tablet\, feel free to bring that instead. This will be a relaxed and casual evening where you can practice\, strengthen\, and/or experiment with your writing. \n\n\n\nThe evening will start with a mini lesson\, then\, you’ll have the rest of the night to write and socialize. Like with comedy improv shows\, we’ll be choosing writing prompts at random. Oh\, and that’s not all. The time you have to write your stories will get shorter and shorter… \n\n\n\nIf you like what you’ve written\, you can even share with the group – although that is not mandatory. \n\n\n\nSpots are limited\, so grab your ticket now! \n\n\n\nAbout the Author: Stephanie Anne is a local author and oddball extraordinaire. She specializes in disturbing horror stories and post-apocalyptic science fiction\, but isn’t afraid to get silly and experiment with her writing. When she’s not crafting nightmare fuel\, this crazy cat person runs The Book Purge fundraiser in support of the Ottawa Stray Cat Rescue.

This edition of Write Club is inspired by all things geeky\, so get ready for some Fan Friction. \n\n\n\nWho: Geeks who love to write for fun and/or experiment with the craft \n\n\n\nWhen: Wednesday\, May 21st from 6pm – 8pm (End time is approximate) \n\n\n\nWhere: The Second Floor of Milk Shop at 45 William Street \n\n\n\nWhy: Because we love our fandoms\, and writing and being creative is fun! \n\n\n\nThis will be a relaxed and casual evening where you can practice\, strengthen\, and/or experiment with your writing. Go wherever your imagine takes you: whether that’s Tatooine or Discworld. \n\n\n\nAlthough this is typically a food-free space\, you’re welcome to bring a snack or a drink if you think you’ll need some fuel to keep you going throughout the event. Energon cubes are not permitted at this time. \n\n\n\nThe evening will start with a mini lesson led by local shifter\, er\, author Stephanie Anne\, then\, you’ll have the rest of the night to write and socialize.
