Wrap up your fave (used) book\, something you were gifted but won’t use\, write out a poem you wrote\, share a zine or some homemade cookies! Any cute little gift for the trade pile. Anyone who wants to participate will leave their gift with the others and take one with them when they leave. \n\n\n\nHighlights \n\n\n\n\nThis event centers people who are queer and/or trans who take covid precautions in their everyday lives. Allies who take covid precautions are also welcome but please be mindful that this is primarily a space for queer and/or trans folks. We also welcome 2SLGBTQIA+ folks who are interested in a sober-friendly space and who will respect the covid-safer protocols of this event!\n\n\n\nMask mandatory event (KN95 or better). Whether you’re in the mood for a friendly board game\, vibing to music\, or getting creative with coloring or beading\, there’s something for everyone. \n\n\n\nOur cozy and colorful space is perfect for dancing and it has chairs so you can relax your way. DESCRIPTION:Queer Club Fridays is an event that is set up like an open-hang out\, after finishing the school or work week. For this low-sensory edition\, the lights will be low\, and we will play low-volume instrumental chill music. There will be a few tables set up with materials and prompts for folks who want to make their own greeting cards or self-care cards (examples will be available). You can bring your own book to read\, or your own craft to work on\, and quiet conversation is welcome! Let’s learn how to upcycle them together with a simple method of turning t-shirts into yarn that you can knit\, crochet\, macrame\, or weave with! \n\n\n\nWhat’s involved? \n\n\n\nBring one or two clean old t-shirts made of 100% cotton. DESCRIPTION:We’re kicking off Pride month with an afternoon party at @TheGrove featuring @djdelpilar! Expect high-energy dance tracks and all your fave queers! \n\n\n\nTea dances were events organized on Sunday afternoons in the US gay community\, originating in New York in the 1950s and 1960s. The original dances included tea services rather than alcohol as it was illegal to serve alcohol to queer and trans people. To lower the chances of a police raid\, these dances were held on Sunday afternoons and served non-alcoholic drinks. \n\n\n\nGet fancy and dance with cuties! Tea dances were one of the only places where people could express themselves\, so we fully encourage outfits! \n\n\n\nHighlights \n\n\n\n\nThis event centers people who are queer and/or trans who take covid precautions in their everyday lives. Allies who take covid precautions are also welcome but please be mindful that this is primarily a space for queer and/or trans folks. We also welcome 2SLGBTQIA+ folks who are interested in a sober-friendly space and who will respect the covid-safer protocols of this event!\n\n\n\nMask mandatory event (KN95 or better). Masks are provided at the door and required before entry\n\n\n\nThis is a substance-free and sober-friendly event. Guests are welcome to consume before or after the event\, but please be mindful of intoxication levels.\n\n\n\nSliding scale tickets.\n\n\n\nThe canteen is open for non-alcoholic beverages. DESCRIPTION:What to Expect \n\n\n\nIn this hands-on workshop\, you’ll: \n\n\n\n\nBring your own clothing or fabric patches to print on using the cyanotype process.\n\n\n\nReceive a tote bag as part of the workshop (included in the cost).\n\n\n\nChoose between printing with direct sunlight or using a UV oven for exposure.\n\n\n\nLearn how to print on fabric using prepped photo negatives\, stencils\, and other materials.\n\n\n\nDry your pieces faster using a hair dryer (feel free to bring one with you).\n\n\n\n\nWorkshop Flow \n\n\n\n\nDoors open at 4:30 PM\n\n\n\nMini presentation at 4:45 PM\n\n\n\nThe rest of the workshop will be hands-on learning with guidance throughout.
