DESCRIPTION:Our highly popular queer speed dating is back for Pride Month! This time\, we are trying something a little different. \n\n\n\nWe have 12 spots for folks who are interested in meeting new people either platonically or romantically\, who will have 5 minutes to do a PowerPoint presentation (maximum 5 slides) to talk about yourself\, or your special interest\, your green flags and red flags\, whatever you want new friends or lovers to know about you! \n\n\n\nAfter the round of presentations\, we will have a couple of timed open-social segments so that you can talk to the folks that piqued your interest. You can also write messages (anonymous or not) that we will give to the destined person at the end of the event. \n\n\n\n7:00pm doors open \n\n\n\n7:30pm presentations \n\n\n\n9:00pm open social round 1 \n\n\n\n9:30pm break \n\n\n\n10:00pm open social round 2 \n\n\n\n10:30pm end \n\n\n\nMasked event – we have kn95 masks available for free at the studio!

Fan fics can be a great way to express ourselves and also see the stories that we want to see in the world. \n\n\n\nSo bring your favourite fan fiction\, or if you write\, bring something to share\, and we will go around sharing and talking about what we brought\, why we like it\, what makes it feel good. You can (if you want) read a section out loud! \n\n\n\nThink book club discussion but for fan fiction. \n\n\n\nThis is a masked and 18+ event\, KN95 or higher is required. \n\n\n\nSliding scale tickets \n\n\n\nMoney shouldn’t be a barrier to connection\, creativity\, or joy. Meet other photographers and creatives and learn from each other! \n\n\n\nDrop in anytime during your selected time slot and play with our two sets! Models are also invited! \n\n\n\nWhich session should I pick? \n\n\n\nWe have set up two sessions. Pick the one that suits you best and drop in anytime during that session! \n\n\n\n\n6pm – 8pm mask mandatory\n\n\n\n8pm – 10pm mask encouraged/optional\n\n\n\n\nWhat to bring if I’m a photographer? \n\n\n\nAll you need to bring is your own camera! If you have your own transmitters and receivers for flash\, bring those too (but don’t sweat if you don’t have these!). \n\n\n\nWhat to bring if I’m a model? \n\n\n\nBring/wear clothing that you feel comfortable with or that you want to show off in. Avoid stripes and overly complicated patterns. \n\n\n\nWhat will be provided? \n\n\n\n\nTwo backdrops with different lighting/ colour moods\n\n\n\nStandard model release agreements for you to use\n\n\n\nA changing tent\n\n\n\n\nThe Fine Print \n\n\n\nPhotographers will be asked to share your choice of photos with the model(s). Please discuss what you are comfortable before starting your session! Models will be asked to sign a model release form – this protects all parties and sets out the terms of how the photos can be used by either model or photographer.
