This workshop will be an opportunity to create summer-inspired prints as we welcome the warmest days of the year. \n\n\n\nAbout the Workshop Led by Linh VH Nguyen \n\n\n\nWith the summer equinox on the horizon\, this cyanotype workshop will focus on bright\, juicy summer themes like in-season fruits\, bird sightings\, and outdoor adventures. DESCRIPTION:We’re back with our pals at @thegrove613 to bring you something a bit more laid-back for the winter. DJ del Pilar will be spinning low decibel Afrohouse/beats\, funk & RnB. We’ll provide some games – feel free to bring your own!Bar with non-alcoholic drinks inc beer\, cocktails\, seltzers and more. \n\n\n\nAccessing the space: After 6pm\, the front doors to 18 Louisa will be locked. We will have a volunteer at the door\, 6-6:30 and after that\, you can buzz 2800 to open the doors. Check the QR code below to see a video on getting to the space!This is a covid-safer event! We don’t have a lot of spots for the #covidcautiouscommunity so we’re prioritizing safety\, access\, and community at this event:N95 or equivalent are required. Some masks will be available at the door. We monitor CO2 throughout the night and will announce if the monitors reach 1000 (though it didn’t go above 825 at our last games night). The new Grove space is much bigger than the last one with 2 small windows that open\, a central HVAC system\, and high ceilings. We will have at least 3 air purifiers running at max at all times. 18 Louisa does not have easy access to outside so we ask that you enjoy your drinks in the hall outside the main space. \n\n\n\nA few tickets are available at the door on a first come basis. Sliding scale – $5-20 (cash only at the door) \n\n\n\nNotes About The Grove \n\n\n\n280-18 Louisa is on the 2nd floor of the building with elevator access. There are automatic doors on the outside of the building but the door to the studio is manual. \n\n\n\nThere are accessible washrooms on the 2nd floor. The (gendered) washrooms are shared with the whole floor but after hours it’s unlikely anyone else will be on site. \n\n\n\nThe studio is over 800 square feet of open space with an 11 ft ceiling \n\n\n\nFor seating\, we have several options – White folding chairs (max 225lbs /102 kg static) Blue stacking chairs ( max 660lbs / 299.3 kg static) Brown couch (max 700lbs/317.5 kg static) Rustic brown stools (max 264.5lbs/ 120 kg static)

DESCRIPTION:We’re back with our pals at @thegrove613 to celebrate pals and more with this Palentines party@djdelpilar spinning some sweet\, sweet\, slow songs all night long (except for an intermission). There will be warm and outgoing designated dancers for all you wallflowers (and buttons if you don’t want to be asked to dance). Think high school dance without the angst and a whole lot more queer. Dress up if you like! Partial proceeds are being donated to @actioncanadasrh \n\n\n\nBar with non-alcoholic drinks inc beer\, cocktails\, seltzers and more. Please drink in the hall outside the main space.This is a covid-safer event:– N95 or equivalent are required. Free masks (overhead straps) will be available at the door.– We monitor CO2 throughout the night and will announce if the monitors reach 1000.– The new Grove space is much bigger than the last one\, with 2 small windows that open\, a central HVAC system\, and high ceilings. This event is open to writers above the age of 18. \n\n\n\nMeeting monthly\, The Writers’ Salon offers a space for writers to connect\, share and build community. The Writers’ Salon is open to writers of all backgrounds\, genres and experience levels and is hosted by Meg\, a neuroqueer writer\, artist and creative care practitioner. \n\n\n\nThe Writers’ Salon is hosted at The Grove.
