Write Club: Fan Friction

May 21 @ 6:00 pm 8:00 pm

Join us for a clash of the fandoms!

This writing workshop is perfect for those who want to explore what would happen if Nightcrawler faced off against The Borg… in Westeros. This edition of Write Club is inspired by all things geeky, so get ready for some Fan Friction.

Who: Geeks who love to write for fun and/or experiment with the craft

When: Wednesday, May 21st from 6pm – 8pm (End time is approximate)

Where: The Second Floor of Milk Shop at 45 William Street

Why: Because we love our fandoms, and writing and being creative is fun!

This will be a relaxed and casual evening where you can practice, strengthen, and/or experiment with your writing. Go wherever your imagine takes you: whether that’s Tatooine or Discworld.

Although this is typically a food-free space, you’re welcome to bring a snack or a drink if you think you’ll need some fuel to keep you going throughout the event. Energon cubes are not permitted at this time.

The evening will start with a mini lesson led by local shifter, er, author Stephanie Anne, then, you’ll have the rest of the night to write and socialize. We’ll start with a warm up activity to get those creative juices flowing, then it’ll be onto the fan fiction! There will be prompts provided to get you thinking about your favourite fandoms and characters in whole new ways.

If you like what you’ve written, you can even share with the group – although that is not mandatory.

Spots are limited, so grab your ticket now!

About the Author:
Stephanie Anne is a local author and oddball extraordinaire. She specializes in disturbing horror stories and post-apocalyptic science fiction, but isn’t afraid to get silly and experiment.
