Come Through: Black Queer Drop-Ins with Project Agape
Project Agape has teamed up with The Grove to create a monthly gathering space for Black queer folks. These sessions are designed to offer a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where we can unwind, connect, and simply be ourselves.
Join us every month for an evening of relaxation, fun, and community!
We’re back with the second event in our Black Queer Drop-In series and this session all about rhythm, joy, and movement! Join us for an Afrobeat Dance Class, where we’ll move, groove, and celebrate our bodies in community. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or just want to vibe, this session is all about fun, freedom, and connection.
Our cozy and colorful space is perfect for dancing and it has chairs so you can relax your way. This is a mask-friendly space centering Black joy, comfort, and care.
We encourage you to bring water, electrolytes, and any snacks you may need to stay energized and nourished throughout the session. Come as you are as there’s something here for everyone.
A special thank you to The Grove for sponsoring this event by providing us with a welcoming space where we can gather, connect, and feel supported. We truly appreciate your support in making this initiative possible!
What to Expect:
- A beginner-friendly Afrobeat dance session as all levels welcome.
- A chill, affirming space centering Black queer joy and movement.
- Flexible vibes: dance, lounge, or just take it in at your own pace.

These drop-in sessions will be held monthly, with a rotating mix of activities, and we can’t wait to see you there!
