Capital Pride Parade

The Pride Parade returns with the community coming together loudly and proudly. Over 200 groups, more than 10,000 marchers plus this year’s Grand Marshal and Honoured Group who will lead the parade.

Parade Route

Start of Parade: Elgin Street & Laurier Avenue

Parade Route

  • The parade turns right out of the Laurier Avenue staging area onto Elgin Street and moves north.
  • The parade veers left around the National War Memorial (just north of Queen Street)
  • The parade turns left onto Wellington Street and heads west towards Kent Street.
  • The parade turns left onto Kent Street and heads south.

End of Parade: Kent Street and Albert Street

Accessibility: 

Known Limitations: event will take place outdoors please consider weather conditions, there is some uneven ground from broken asphalt.

Accessible Parking/Transportation: There is no dedicated accessible parking. The closest Para Transpo pickup is Lisgar and Cartier, near City Hall.

Designated accessible viewing on Elgin Street at Elgin and Albert Street. There will be tents and some chairs. Feel free to bring your own chair as well!

Accessible washrooms: located at the Marion Dewar Plaza (accessible off of Laurier Avenue), as well as throughout the street festival.

Known Triggers/Warnings: loud, crowds.
