đ Pride season has arrived, and the Capital is bursting with energy as we gear up for an unforgettable weekendâAugust 16th & 17th, 2025!
We’re thrilled to host our second annual Confidence Is Key: Ballroom Workshopsâa high-energy, glam-packed experience designed to elevate your skills and confidence on and off the dancefloor!
This year, we’re offering four workshops which will be facilitated by Ballroom legends. Sign up for one workshop, or for all of them through the link below!
Body & Face Workshop – Saturday, August 16, from 4:30-6:30PM
An interactive conversation on body positivity, self care and self love through Ballroom, facilitated by OA Canadian Mother Supreme Von Dutch.
Performance Workshop – Saturday, August 16, from 7:00-9:00PM
A beginners friendly vogue dance session focusing on flexibility, mobility and sass, facilitated by Legendary Father Cassidy Pinklady / Nova Monroe.
Bizarre & Effects Production Workshop – Sunday, August 17, from 4:30-6:30PM
A practical and engaging crafting session aimed at expressing oneâs creativity with sustainable methods and tactics, facilitated by Legendary Godmother Moohk Louboutin Miyake Mugler.
Ballroom Empowerment & Realness Workshop – Sunday, August 17, from 7:00-9:00PM
An open conversation on Ballroom as a community touching on communal support and sustainability, led by Legendary Canadian Mother Tamar Carter Miyake-Mugler, who will also share some skills on âRealnessâ in society.
Meet the Facilitators
OA Canadian Mother Supreme Von Dutch
Over-All Canadian Mother Supreme Von Dutch, of the Captivating Haus of Von Dutch is a statement in the categories of Face & Body! She has contributed to the Toronto & West New York Kiki scene & Mainstream ballroom scene since 2021.
Her love of Ballroom and itâs patrons, is not just apparent on the floor as a competitor, but as a cultivator of talent and craft, hosting 2 âSwap Shopâsâ for community effect up cycling and a âBody Shopâ centring body confidence! Her vision is to continue to explore and uplift the beauty within Ballroom nationwide.


Legendary Father Cassidy Pinklady / Nova Monroe
Legendary Father Cassidy Pinklady / Nova Monroe is a great influence in Torontoâs ballroom scene, Cassidy entered ballroom in 2011 and has been in five Kiki houses and one mainstream. He joined the House of Pinklady in 2019, rose to Father in 2023, and earned his Legendary title in 2024. Known for dramatic performance, stunts, and his evolution from Schoolboy to Everyday Realness, Cassidy is Realness with a Twist. A leader, mover, and mentor, he emphasizes stretching, breathing, and staying humble while doing his part for the community.
Legendary Godmother Moohk Louboutin Miyake Mugler
Legendary Godmother Moohk Louboutin Miyake Mugler, Montrealâs Bizarre Queen, has been active in the ballroom scene since 2017. A finalist in the CBX Ballroom Extravaganza competition and web series, Moohk also promotes the Be!zarre Balls under the name Bizarre Kin.


Legendary Canadian Mother Tamar Carter Miyake-Mugler
Tamar Carter is a mother, business owner, educator, and community organizer whose influence spans far beyond the Ballroom floor. A force in Canadian Ballroom for over 13 years, Tamar is one of only two recognized mainstream Legends in the country, internationally celebrated for her precision, presence, and enduring excellence in the Realness category.
As the Legendary Canadian Mother of the International Iconic House of Miyake-Mugler, Tamar has raised the standard of excellence within Canadian Ballroom, helping shape a new generation of top-tier talent. Her leadership is rooted in a sharp eye for detail, old-school Ballroom fundamentals, and a deep commitment to legacy.
Tamar is the revered Matriarch of the Carter family, known for being a âstern setâ who leads with integrity, accountability, and unwavering love. Her influence pushes her children to realize their full potential, not only in Ballroom, but in their everyday lives.
Tamar is also the co-founder of FUNCTION, a groundbreaking Ballroom-first platform for culture, stories, and events. Since its official launch in 2022, FUNCTION has produced some of the largest balls in Canadian history and distributed over $250,000 to BIPOC and queer artists. Through every endeavor, Tamar remains committed to building legacy, centering community, and ensuring that Black queer excellence is not only seenâbut sustained.
