Coras Autumn Fundraiser
October 16 @ 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Join CORAS at Mādahòkì Farm for an evening of community, performance, and advocacy in support of our work with sex workers, trafficking survivors and vulnerable women/children across Ottawa.
The evening will feature burlesque performances, a silent auction, a costume contest (with prizes!) with guests invited to show off their looks on stage, and remarks from CORAS executives and clients about the realities of trafficking in Ottawa, the fight for sex workers’ rights, and the work being done on the ground to support those in need.
Your ticket also includes a burlesque show, and seasonal bites & sweets prepared by local Indigenous chefs.
Come dressed up, enjoy the performances, hear directly from the people involved, and help us raise funds to keep CORAS services accessible to the people who need them.
All proceeds from this event directly support CORAS programs and community services.
Your ticket helps us fund educational workshops, our free counselling program, reintegration supports, and free community care for mothers and other vulnerable women through programs like It Takes a Village. It supports our legal advocacy work for sex worker’s and survivor’s rights, including our SOLACE program, and helps us keep our walk-in basic needs closet stocked (with food, pet food, formule, baby supplies, clothes, shoes, gift cards, hygiene items, family planning items, first aid kits, and other necessary supports) and our office open to women and children who need somewhere to turn.
