Cyanotype BYO Clothing Edition + Tote

What to Expect
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll:
- Bring your own clothing or fabric patches to print on using the cyanotype process.
- Receive a tote bag as part of the workshop (included in the cost).
- Choose between printing with direct sunlight or using a UV oven for exposure.
- Learn how to print on fabric using prepped photo negatives, stencils, and other materials.
- Dry your pieces faster using a hair dryer (feel free to bring one with you).
Workshop Flow
- Doors open at 4:30 PM
- Mini presentation at 4:45 PM
- The rest of the workshop will be hands-on learning with guidance throughout. The goal is to complete at least two pieces to take home: a tote bag and your own piece of clothing.We recommend bringing fabric items made from natural fibers like cotton, as cyanotype prints work best on these materials. Please note that results may vary, and it’s important to stay open to unexpected outcomes!

Health & Safety Guidelines
Masking Policy: Masks are mandatory to ensure the safety of all attendees.
Glove Recommendation: Gloves will be provided for safe handling of materials.
Cyanotype & Fabric Safety: The cyanotype process is safe, but we will take precautions:
Avoid direct skin contact with cyanotype solution; wash with soap and water if needed.
Hair dryers and heat tools will be used with caution.Pre-Workshop Info Package
A week before the workshop, you’ll receive an info package with:
- A tutorial on how to print negatives
- A cyanotype process overview
- Studio space details and guidelines This is optional but useful for those who want to dive deeper before the session.
