Get your geek on! Come check out the Ottawa chapter of Geeky & Kinky, hosted by @josdine and Vylet the 2nd Wednesday of each month.
Our goal is to bring you approachable social events that help geeky folks meet each other and provide a friendly, warm setting for people to get to know the community. Feel free to bring a board game you’d like to share with others.
Membership not required. This is a drop in event, we accept donations to fuel our intergalactic cause, but there are no tickets or minimum cost.
We have a range of board games spread out for you to select from. Tea, coffee, and pop are always available, as are a variety of snacks. Attendees are always welcome to bring a treat to share or a game they’re comfortable teaching others to play. We’d love to get a glimpse at what you have on your game shelf!
The dress code is casual. You might see a collar or two, but feel free to come as you are. This event is not intended for play or finding a date. It’s an opportunity to make new friends and catch up with old ones.
If you’re worried about attending an event without knowing anyone, send us a message with “Geeky & Kinky” in the subject line. We can let you know what to expect and introduce you when you arrive.
At this event, play (except the board game kind) is not permitted. Our social nights and non-membered events are for connection, conversation, and community. We ask all attendees to respect the space and keep interactions within the boundaries of a social setting.
