This K1, we are focusing on practical financial preparedness strategies that support confidence in navigating everyday financial decisions. Join us to explore budgeting basics, planning for unexpected expenses, and understanding financial systems in ways that are accessible and relevant.
Through discussion and resource sharing, we’ll break down common financial barriers and identify steps you can take toward greater security at your own pace. The session centers real-life application, community support, and informed decision-making.

Notes on Accessibility
- Our building has three elevators, and our office is fully wheelchair accessible. Different seating options are available throughout the evening. There is a gender neutral and wheelchair accessible washroom just outside of our office. Please let us know in advance if you require any additional accommodations.
- Our office is right around the corner from bus stops for the 6, 7, and 11. We’re about a 5-minute walk from the nearest stop for the 14, and a 10-minute walk from Parliament Station (Line 1 of the O-train). There are also several paid parking lots and garages within walking distance. If transit is a barrier for you to attend a session, let us know and we’ll help you out!
