Our Why
When we are connected to ourselves, “Spirit” and the Earth, this supports our capacity to better listen & care for the communities & ecosystems around us. This day supports a reclaiming of our capacity to be healthy and well connected to our ancestral practices, non-appropriative, guided by embodied joy and connction. For folks from the Global Majority, taking up space for LOVE & JOY is radical!
We believe our healing is not separate from the land’s healing since many of our communities are healing from the same intersecting systems of harm (i.e. capitalism, patriarchy, white supremacy) causing disconnection. When we remember and listen to the land in our community work (globally and locally), collective healing and liberation is made possible, for both the lands and the people within communities.
