As part of the Back to our Roots Project, we’re launching a series of events throughout the year to address the unique challenges facing Black 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
In recognition of Black History Month, we’re taking time to reflect on and honour the histories of Black communities with the Lateral Violence Webinar, taking place on February 26 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM EST.
This session will examine the roots of lateral violence and how it manifests in our communities. We’ll discuss the historical context of queer/transphobia in Black communities, the global impact of anti-Black racism, and the ways these issues intersect today.
