Pride Month Poetry Workshop with Ben Ladouceur
July 30 @ 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Beginning and emerging poets are invited to join facilitator Ben Ladouceur for a poetry workshop on the eve of Pride Month in Ottawa!
Ben will guide participants through writing prompts inspired by some of the best contemporary queer and ally poets.
Whether you write poetry all the time or haven’t touched it for many years – if you want to explore and create poetry in a safe and productive space, you will find this workshop worthwhile. You will walk away with three or four new poems in your notebook, to continue working on at your own pace.
Participants will also be invited (if they want to) to take part in a reading in late August alongside authors Kimberly Quiogue Andrews, Kevin Shaw and Sanita Fejzić (details to come).
Note: The workshop is free but you need a library card (also free) to register.
