SLAB audio/visual zine performance and livestream.

SLAB is an experiment in performance & collaboration. It’s about trying new things, working together, & failing enthusiastically. The theme for our first show is ROBOT ROCK.

You could contribute music, dance, live painting, light shows, poetry, skits, miming, etc. etc.– anything at all that you want to do, we want to showcase. Artists & creators living in Ottawa who can’t make it to the event are encouraged to submit pieces to be aired between live segments at https://forms.gle/KSC3QDgciVmxwdwz6

Additionally: if you want to be a part of the stream day-of, but don’t want to be on camera, there will be absolutely no pressure to do so. We’d love to have you help behind the scenes, from off-camera, in a mascot costume that fully obscures your human form; whatever suits your needs. You’re free to come & go as you please with no judgement.

Schedule

5:30 PM: Doors open

6 PM – 8:30 PM: Plan the show (general brainstorming & collaboration, organising segments, preparing assets)

8:30 PM: Stream

This is a mask-mandatory event & any performance done live in the space will require you to keep your mask on. Depending on volume or general disruptiveness, some segments may be able to be filmed outside without a mask.
