Accolades
Willem James Cowan was a winner of Summerfolk Festival’s “Youth Discoveries” program in 2017, playing the festival with the likes of Bahamas, Fred Penner, and Sarah Harmer. In 2018, he was presented with Fanshawe College’s Songwriter of the Year award, and In 2022, he released his debut full-length album, “Mourning in the Morningtime”. In 2024, he was selected as a Creative Lead for the Corduroy Colab program, and is slated to play Departure Festival (Formerly Canadian Music Week), and NXNE this year in Toronto, as well as a small Ontario tour to support his recent single releases.
